"Changbin," Jeongin said the raven haired boy's name out of nowhere, and the sound of his voice cut through the silence like a bullet being fired from a gun.

"He likes Felix, doesn't he? In a romantic way?"

Chan pursed his lips as he let his gaze drift away from the younger boy's face.

"...I don't really think that I'm at liberty to say," the older boy answered as he shoved both his hands into the pocket of his jeans.

"I'm not some kid who can't handle the truth," Jeongin snapped.

"There's nothing you could say that would make me care about Felix any less."

"It's not about anything like that," the Australian assured the dark haired boy.

"I just don't think it's my place to make that assumption about him."

While Chan did indeed know that Changbin was in love with Felix, he figured that it was best to keep that part hidden from Jeongin. After all, if Felix wanted him to know, he would have told him before. And yet, he hadn't.

"Just tell me what you think," the dark haired boy pressed harder.

"Don't you think that he likes Felix?"

"...yes, I do," the older boy admitted with a sigh.

"I think they like each other."

"Exactly! So why don't they just get together already? It's like they're playing cat and mouse; and now they're stuck in a complete deadlock!" Jeongin exclaimed.

"...I don't think things are as simple as that," Chan answered lightly.

"Isn't that what everyone always says about relationships?" The younger boy asked begrudgingly.

"Everybody always says that things are complicated; but I just don't see why they have to be that way. If two people like each other, then they should be together and be happy...End of story."

"I like the sound of that," the Australian smiled gently.

"Your way of looking at things is nice. If only things could really be that easy."

"But, why can't they be?" The dark haired boy questioned.

"Think about it this way," Chan began, "haven't you ever had a crush on someone that you couldn't be with? Maybe they already had a boyfriend or a girlfriend, or they didn't like you back, or they were too old for you?"

"...yeah," the younger boy nodded.

"Hasn't everyone had something like that happen? I just don't see how that has anything to do with Changbin and Felix. It's pretty obvious that they both like each other."

"Maybe so," the Australian commented, "but, like I told you, things aren't always that simple."

"But why? Why can't they just be together if they like each other?"

"...sometimes two people liking each other just isn't enough," the older boy shrugged.

"I'll never understand this," the younger boy sighed.
