Osana POV.
After hearing that Ayano's mom had slapped my dad, I was furious.

Yeah sure, she might've just gotten the wrong idea, but still! The thought ran across my head.

Ayano was probably grinning when my father got hurt by her mother.

I grit my teeth in frustration.

Ayano...!

Without consciousness of it, my fingers went up to my lips, remembering Sunday.

Agh!

What am I even doing?!!

I grabbed my stuff and headed downstairs to where my brother was making breakfast and my dad was laying on the couch with a swollen cheek.

I swear, when I see Ayano...!!

"Sis, you're pancakes are ready!", Osano yelled with annoyance.

I left to the kitchen and ate before leaving the house.

Lucky for me, Taro was near my house and decide to walk with me. It's been so long since me and Taro walked to school.

What really surprised me the most was that Ayano wasn't stalking us. Actually, I have no clue at where she could be.

But I shrugged it off and decided to not waste my thoughts on someone like her.

"Is something wrong, Osana?", Taro asked worried.

I tilted my head and just noticed that I was frowning.

"I'm just bored!", I lied.

"OK...", Taro trailed off.

Once we reached the school gates, we departed ways and I walked to my class.

Again, I was surprised to not see Ayano sitting down. She was usually the first to get here.

...why should I care?!

I sat down on my chair rather roughly and shook my head. I don't think I got enough sleep last night.

I looked one last time at Ayano's seat before deciding she wouldn't come to school today.

"Alright everyone, turn to page 336.", the teacher said as the bell rang.

I sighed and pulled out my books.
------------
No Ayano yet.

It was lunch time already and I was really starting to become curious. Was something wrong? No, I bet she's just sick.

"Osa-Chan!", a cheerful voice called out.

I turned around and saw a green haired girl running up to me.

"Oh, hello Midori.", I said in an irritated tone.

She frowned, "Hey! I'm very happy to see you anyhow!"

I nodded and started walking out the door before she got in front of me.

"Where is Ayano?", she asked in a deep voice. Which caught me real off guard.

"I don't know.", I simply said.

She looked me up and down suspiciously.

"OK!", she replied, "Well when you find her, tell her i say hello! See you later!"

I nodded and she ran off, leaving a trail of smoke behind her.

She's such a weirdo.

Did she actually just talk to me to ask that?

I shrugged it off and left the classroom.

Where is Taro? I'll be able to clear my head if I see him. Actually, it would be better if I just sit alone today. I need to...think.

So I grabbed my food and sat near a tree where the sports club were doing their activities and laid my head on my knees.

Instinctively, I touched my lips.

I felt my face heat up quickly and I covered my face in embarrassment.

"What is wrong with you, Osana??", I asked myself.

But I couldn't understand it, I couldn't understand why all of this was happening so suddenly.

It's... It's probably nothing...

That's what I had said but my cheeks kept on burning.

Wait, isn't this excessive? I'm pretty sure I shouldn't feel this hot.

My face was becoming sweaty and I felt sleepy.

Huh? What's this?

I took a look at my food and noticed it was green.

Poison?

'Oh no...'

I felt myself lose consciousness as I fell to the ground, but before anything, I saw a shadow heading my way.

Was it the person who poisoned me? They were looking around for any witnesses before grabbing my body and lifting me up.

I took one last look at them and found that their eyes looked confused, panicked, and wary.

...I know those eyes.

"...Ayano?", I asked in almost a whisper before I felt myself black out.

A/N I'm so sorry for the short chapter! And I haven't updated too....Ahhh, I'm really sorry! I currently am having writers block, but I'll get over it eventually! 😫

Thank you lovely, beautiful, appreciated, considerate, and generous readers! You guys deserve better than a lazy writer like me!
