I am proud to announce the 30k views special of Dark Frerard Smut! (following right after the 10k special because updating is not my strong side. This was originally meant to be the 20k special but wHoOpS.)

As much as I appreciate you commenting on my stories, if you make an ASOTM comment in this oneshot just expect it to be deleted. I worked hard to make it something of my own and I'm really not up for overused references that have nothing to do with the plot.

Hope you enjoy❤ it's a bit of a mess but I think it came out good.

(Edit: it has been requested later on during the book, so I've decided to go back and add pictures of original characters so that you can envision them better :) )

Frank stepped into the first day of his new job, the automatic doors of the institution shutting behind him quietly as the main nurse led him through the small lobby, a soft smile gracing the young man's lips.

"So what is he like?" He asked after his escort greeted the receptionist and swiped his pass card through the scanner to let them both inside the first corridor. "My patient."

"Him?" the nurse in the pastel blue uniforms spoke, his eyes practically glinting as he prepared to answer. "He's brilliant. He likes to zone out reading about something that he finds sudden interest in, but at the same time he could talk to you for hours. A fascinating kid," he chuckled fondly, "Incredibly artistic; you'd look at his art and just... feel yourself sink into it, I guess. He's very welcoming despite having gone through some rough times in his life, polite in a way that would occasionally make you wonder how he ended up here in the first place. But unfortunately, apart from being bright, he's also quite troubled. You could say he's... a bit of a mystery." He then glanced at the young apprentice, who was fairly stunned by the new information. He'd only spoken to Dr Springs about his patient's practical details, age, physical condition and such. She didn't tell him anything about his hobbies, or his personality, just that he was an 'interesting case', to quote her words. Frank couldn't wait to meet him now.

"A... a mystery?"

"Yes," the nurse hummed in reply. "And Dr Springs has asked for you in hopes that you could get through some of his barriers and maybe help us figure out more about what is actually his condition. We can't help him properly unless we know what's going on in his mind."

Frank nodded. There wasn't much more to be said as they reached the dorms building, climbing up the stairs into a large living-room where all the patients were spending the afternoon rest time. The young man looked around, examining the cream white walls, with neat rows of framed drawings hung along them, all presenting natural views within them, possibly because some patients would become anxious being surrounded by pictures of faces or animals all over. There were several couches, a television, desks with papers and pencils on them and other art materials, board games and book shelves. The whole room gave a relaxing air, and, mixed with the faces of the other caregivers which Frank recognized from previous introduction meetings, he could tell he was going to settle in quickly.
