Revenge!Gerard
Revenge!FrankThis one isn't DARK dark, but I figured you guys deserved a slightly more light-hearted oneshot since the next oneshot I'm working on is super depressing and heartbreaking (it's good though).
So I managed to swing in a relatively normal oneshot (normal for my standards), despite the fact that Frank is kind of a dick in here, haha.

"Look, Gee, you're really sweet, and- shit, don't get me wrong, I love you, I really do. But, just... like a little brother, you know? As a really close friend. But.. not like that," Lindsey went off awkwardly, scratching the back of her head as she stared apologetically at the man standing in front of her, with a colorful and definitely over-the-top bouquet of roses and a hopeful grin.
His smile had begun to falter as soon as she started talking, heart sinking under his best blue and white flannel button-up shirt that he had picked out for this special occasion; the day he was finally going to ask his friend of two years - and crush of four months - out. He had considered it to be his lucky shirt but, well, you saw how that went for him.
"Oh." Was all he could find in himself to say, frowning down at the bouquet and then at the woman who seemed to shoot him an almost sorry look, pure pity evident in her eyes over how genuinely optimistic he had seemed when he approached her. "Is it the flowers?"
"It's not the flowers, Gerard," she replied, chuckling dryly, "Look, you really are pretty cool, and I like hanging out with you. You're just not my type."
"I- I see," he muttered.
He felt Lindsey patting him over the shoulder gently, pursing her lips before she smiled at him. "I'm sure you'll find someone nice."
"Yeah, right," he scoffed, "In a million years, maybe."
"You know, I was pretty surprised when you asked me out," Lindsey remarked then with a slightly raised eyebrow, "I thought you had a crush on Frank."
"What?!" Gerard sputtered, eyes widening comically as he stepped back. Lindsey merely shrugged.
"Everyone on campus thinks so, anyways," she said matter-of-factly, "The way you two act around each other always makes it seem like you're fucking, or in some sort of a weird relationship-thing, so everyone just kind of assumed you were gay."
"I'm bisexual..." Gerard muttered, looking away with a light blush at how bluntly she had put out what everyone at their college seemed to think about his dynamics with his roommate.
"So you are fucking him?"
"Wha- no! He's a dick," Gerard cried out in outrage. Lindsey cracked a smirk at his obscene behavior, giggling before she shook her head slowly and turned to walk Gerard back to the dorms area.
"I'm sure he likes you," she said, only half bothering to hide her amusement.
"Yeah, likes to push me around," Gerard rolled his eyes. Lindsey wrapped an arm around his shoulder in a supportive gesture, knowing full well what he was talking about when it came to his sassy - and lowkey-sadistic - roommate who clearly enjoyed taking advantage of Gerard's meek and docile nature.
"See? It's a sign of affection," she tried to cheer him up, "I'm sure that under all the layers of tough-guy, he secretly wants a piece of that." She hip-bumped Gerard probably harder than intended, sending him almost falling sideways as he yelped softly in fright, scowling while she giggled uncontrollably.
"Yeah yeah, whatever," he huffed, freeing himself from her sideways hug as they neared the large building where the rest of the students were enjoying a quiet evening, or studying for an upcoming exam. "I don't even want him that way. I was asking you out, remember?"
