I've never felt more threatened in my life. Everything around me, the slightest of things had turned into a threat to my now eternal life.
But it had hit me. I'm going to be drinking blood forever.
Rydian walked faster towards us, he looked at us like he'd just seen a ghost. "he's coming" he said panicking. We all sat there in silence and just stared at him confused.
"what cunt?" Tyler said.
"we need to get off this train. Now." rydian told us.
We now knew how it felt to be the most dangerous predator in the world, if a vampire is scared - you should definitely be scared.
We got off at the closest stop - stawell.
We knew stawell already had a lot of memories for kobie, and since our emotions are magnified, we all knew immediately this was NOT going to be fun.
"Jordy this is a bad idea" I said as we were getting our bags and exiting the train. "I know" he said.
"so wanna tell us who the fucks coming?" Tyler asked rydian. Rydian stood about 6 foot tall with jet black hair and dark brown eyes, he was as pale as we were, muscular and definitely looked like someone you'd point out to be a vampire.
We all stood huddled together, all of us except kobie. She slowly dragged her suitcase behind her, looking around, touching the fences and walls of the train station. Jordy went to walk off to see if she was okay, I grabbed his arm. "just leave her. She'll be okay" I said.
Willow looked at me and smiled softly. Kobie had always nagged us to go on a trip to stawell, she missed it.
We never got the chance to, we were always getting fucked up. Whenever we have the chance to escape reality - we will take it. But now, we've entered a whole new reality. A new world.
Something we were teaching ourselves to get used too. Something we'd be teaching ourselves for a long time. "listen" Rydian began. "I don't have time to explain. But I will. I promise. Right now, we all just need to get comfortable. We aren't going back to that town for awhile" he told us.
We all ignored it.
We make our own rules.
We need to find an abandoned house to crash at. Kobie turned her head from the other side of the station. "I know somewhere" she said quietly but we all heard clear as day.
We followed her for about 15 minutes. We got past the graveyard, and there was no houses for awhile. Then, we stopped. A large, old house stood in front of us. We were in the middle of no where, and there were kangaroos and animals for us to feed on, a train track far across from the house.
It was quiet. All you could hear was the birds.
We walked to the front door, kobie kicked it in. "um kobie" Tyler said. "yeah?" she turned around. "none of us no how to fix a fucken door" he laughed. She shrugged and we all followed her inside. The house was fully furnished, old pictures hung on the wall of kobies family. The house was dusty. Kobie lit up the fire place.
We sat on the couches in the lounge room dumping our luggage at the door.
"so... What's going on?" I said looking at rydian.
"you guys remember Antony?" he asked. We all nodded. How can we forget the man that helped turn us.
We won't forget that.
"he's after me. He's after chad. He found out we explained to you what was going on with your bodies. We don't know how but he did. He's one of the most powerful dangerous vampires, he could take on a whole town and win. If he finds us were gone" he said.
"so what do we have to do with it?" abbey asked. "nothing. I'm simply here because you dumbasses are reckless teenagers and will have a stake driven through your heart without a doubt if you don't learn the basics." he said.
"nope. Leave" Tyler said pointing to the front door. "yeah man. Get out" Jordy said standing up. Rydian rolled his eyes and laughed. "really?" he said.
"yeah. Really." Tyler said. Beginning to turn. (eyes red, fangs out, veins popping).
Kobie glared at Tyler and Jordy. They both sat down. "guys, can we just get him to teach us some shit before we get rid of him?" I asked. Tyler crossed his arms.
"no cunts teaching me nothing" Tyler said slouching.
"wait... How old are you?" Jordy asked rydian.
"120... Or 17" he said. "holy shit" I said dropping my jaw. Rydian laughed. "I shouldn't have turned you kids. If I didn't I would've been killed though. Me and chad still have our humanity. Antony turned his off when his wife was killed. She was like us too." he told us.
"how did she die?" willow asked.
"well. There's only two ways we can die, either a werewolf or we get staked. His wife got attacked by werewolves for downing a pup" he said.
I giggled. Jordy punched my leg. "shut up cunt" he said. "ow" I slapped his leg back.
He laughed at me.
Abbey held Tyler's hand and looked him in the eyes. "it's gonna be okay" she said smiling softly.
"we have a few things to do" rydian said.
"don't tell me what to do" Tyler said sternly.
"yeah nah you aren't the boss around here" kobie said.
Rydian through his hands in the air. "do yous want help or not?" he asked confused. We all looked at each other and shrugged.
