Willows pov
*DONT START THE SONG YET ITLL TELL YOU WHEN TO LATER IN THE CHAPTER*
We spent the next 4 hours in a paddock being taught how to shapeshift. Rydian tried to help us control our hunger, so he carried over a sheep. That didn't work. We all jumped on it as soon as we smelt it.
"you guys are that difficult" rydian said.
Kobie flipped him off.
"can we do something fun I'm bored" abbey said. "you know what my idea of fun is" Tyler said winking at her. Kobie gagged.
"stop. Shh" rydian said. He stood there with a straight face staring into the distance.
"kiddiessss" we heard a man whisper. "he's here. Get inside." rydian panicked. We all ran into the house. I went to hide under the table. "are you serious?" rydian asked me. "huh?" I asked. "your trying to hide from a thousand year old vampire you dumbass. Get up. We're fighting today." he said. I rolled my eyes and stood in the lounge room side by side with my friends.
We heard a quiet knock on the door. We sniffed the air. "Antony" kobie whispered.
The front door flew off it's hinges and smashed into the wall. Loud foot steps walked towards us. Rydian stood in front of us, we all stood behind him in a horizontal line hand in hand. "what do you want" rydian said sternly.
"oh rydian... Don't be so arrogant. I'm your father." Antony said smiling leaning on the old TV cabinet.
We all widened our eyes in shock.
"I'm not scared of you" rydian said.
"oh. How come? Because you've got your little army of new borns? I've got that covered" Antony said pulling a dead fox out of his back pack.
We could feel ourselves turning. We tightened our hold on each others hands as our eyes turned red and our veins and fangs became exposed.
Rydian turned around and looked at us. "control" he whispered.
"ha. Newborns... Always so stubborn. You know... My son turned you. Into monsters. Your never going back. The pain you'll feel in a heartbreak... You'll drive a stake through your own hearts. Turn it off. Turn your humanity off. That way... You won't feel a thing when I murder all of your families" Antony smirked.
"you won't be touching any of our families" kobie said taking a step forward and standing next to Rydian.
Antony giggled. "oh.. Won't I? Because I've already started the massacre." he said pulling Jordy's dead dogs head from his backpack. Jordy had a sickened look planted on his face.
The white in his eyes redder then usual. The veins darker. The fangs longer.
"I'm gonna kill you." Jordy said standing next to kobie and rydian with his fists clenched. "Jordy just leave it. Well get through this" I said calmly.
Rydian looked at us all. "I'm so sorry guys". He said.
"and this is why you should just turn it off! See, look at your old man. I don't feel a thing. No guilt. No shame. No love. No pain. It's easier this way trust me kids" he said smiling.
"you make me fucking sick" Tyler said.
"go. Leave me be." rydian said pointing at the open door. "your dreaming if you think I'm gonna leave that easy" Antony smirked.
Rydian shapeshifted over to Antony and strangled him with one hand holding him up against the wall. "I. Said. GO!!!" he screamed. "are.. You.. Really that dumb?" Antony said gasping for air. Antony broke out of the choke hold. Picked rydian up by one hand and threw him out the window.
Antony cracked his neck and knuckles. "who's next?" he asked breaking a wooden plank off a chair.
"don't touch them. Please. Kill me" Connor said walking closer to Antony. Frightened.
He was littler then all of us.
He was terrified. You could hear the shake in his voice as he teared up. "Connor stop!" I yelled.
Kobie dropped to the floor. "Connor don't do this" she said. Abbey stood with her hand over her mouth trembling. "Connor I swear to fucking god if you don't stop" Jordy said. Tyler stood clenching his jaw and fists. As if he thought there were a trick behind it. As if he thought Connor weren't really sacrificing his life to keep us here.
Connor turned his head and looked at us.
*START SONG*
"this is what friends do. I told you guys I was a ride or die" he smiled softly
we stared at him, nodding our heads no. Clenching our fists.
We heard the flesh squish together as Antony drew a stake threw him. Holding him up with one hand. Connors eyes widened. As if he was staring into our souls. Blood began to trickle out of his open mouth, and tears pouring down his lifeless cheeks. Antony dropped him. His body turned grey. Antony smirked and ran out the door. I ran to Connors body. Softly slapping his cheeks. "please Connor. Please. Wake up" I choked on my own words.
Kobie and abbey dropped to the floor holding each other as they cried. "IM GONNA KILL YOU!!!!" Jordy screamed. "it's okay bro. Come here." Tyler said pulling Jordy into a hug. I yanked the stake out of Connors body and threw it at the wall.
"wake up" I cried. My tears dripping on his face. Rydian walked into the room. Covered in his own blood. He looked at Connors body then looked up wide eyed.
"guys" his voice began to break and his eyes teared up. "this is your fault!" Jordy yelled running towards rydian. Tyler abbey and kobie shape-shifted towards him holding Jordy back from whatever mistake he was about to make.
"I have to turn it off" Jordy choked. We all looked at him wide eyed. "NO!!! " kobie screamed. "PLEASE!! NO JORDY" she cried into his shoulder. He closed his eyes and held her close. After a good minute and a half He opened his eyes to reveal the bright yellow colour. The same eyes that Antony had. His eyes were brown. Now almost neon yellow. "no" Tyler whispered punching the wall behind him almost smashing the whole thing. Abbey screamed in agony.
"what the fuck" kobie cried. Jordy let go of her.
I layed on top of Connors body. "I'm so sorry this happened to you" I mumbled. All you could hear was the muffled cries of all of us. All of us except for Jordy and rydian. Who stood staring each other dead in the eyes. "jordy" rydian said quietly. His voice breaking like he was about to cry. Jordys muscles were larger. He was the strongest in the group now. He smirked at rydian. "chill out dude" he said to rydian as a tear dropped from rydians cheek to the floor.
