You woke up this morning with cold sweats, aching bones and two strange holes in your neck, you tried your best to put together the pieces, how it might've happened but in the end, you pegged it down to bed bugs.

Great...

So the first thing you did this morning as the new maid was change your sheets and found an old-fashioned choker-like collar to wear around your neck in attempts to hide your markings. It's a nice piece of jewelry though, made from a silky fabric and has an elegant ring to it. It also compliments the outfit you must wear for work.

Gotta try to look professional on my first day.

You proceed to do most of the household chores, all of which seem rather simple, for such a big home there's not much that needs to be done today. A smile on your lips as you gently dust their framed family photos, picking one of them up to observe it more closely, it looks recent in terms of Thatch's appearance but the style of the photo itself looks really old-fashioned.

Perhaps they know somebody who can make their photos look more vintage.

"That's pretty cool, actually..."

"Miss [F/n]?" A familiar voice snaps you out of your concentration as you tenderly place the photo back onto the fire place, your head turning to spot Thatch in the doorway.

Speak of the devil...

"Breakfast is ready." The brunette informs before turning around and leaving your sights briskly, you get the sense that he is the busiest member of this family...well, apart from their father who seems to be away on business at the moment.

Must be exhausting for someone so young to be left in charge around here...

Carefully, you hang the cloth you use for dusting on the frame of a photo that has yet to be attended to so you can pick up where you left off in cleaning after breakfast without much confusion.

Upon entering the dining room your eyes land on a specific brother, a handsome blonde that you had met last night. Taking advantage of the situation, you claim the empty seat beside him before politely greeting everybody else.

It's Sabo, isn't it...

"How was your first night yoi?" You've not met Marco yet but you somehow know his name, a slight shiver running down your spine as your eyes lock onto his, he's watching you attentively which makes sense since he's speaking to you, however he also has a devious glimmer in his eyes.

"I-It was very nice...The room is gorgeous and the bed is very comfortable, thank you for having me!" You're admittedly struggling to keep such good manners under the pressure of his gaze, your eyes flickering up to Thatch as you finish your sentence since he's clearly the one in charge of the family at the moment.

Although, it's not really up to him to keep me around...

"Charmed." Thatch politely smiles, your eyes widening as he brings a glass of red wine to his lips, taking a sip before he continues eating his breakfast. "Have you met all of my brothers yet? Marco, Ace and Sabo?"

Wait, they're all drinking red wine for breakfast! It's a little early for drinking, isn't it?!

"O-Oh! I've met Sabo!"

You got so wrapped up your thoughts about their drinks that you almost ended up completely ignoring Thatch's question, you silently scold yourself for being so impolite before you prick your ears up, ready to pay your full attention to the brother this time.

"Hm...?" Thatch hums curiously as he subtly eyeballs the blonde from across the table. "Is that so?" You notice Sabo straighten up a little, his body tensing beside yours as he nods in agreement to your statement and to Thatch's question.

Is that bad?

"Yes, he very kindly showed me around..." Your thoughts going back to last night, something seems a little uncertain about your memories but you remember meeting the blonde and he was sweet and wanted to help you settle so he showed you the basic rooms. Although judging by the sudden tension in the room, you'd imagine that he wasn't supposed to do that.

"Ah...That was good of you, Sabo. Pops would be proud." Thatch kindly praises, his aura suddenly seeming more relaxed as he continues his meal, you feel the blonde beside you calming also as he silently nods his head. You try to recall if he's always so quiet, if he spoke much last night but you don't remember. "I do hope my little brother remembered all his manners...?"

Your heart flutters as a sudden 'memory' comes back to you. "Yes, he was very polite and sweet! And handsome! So handsome!" A snicker coming from the raven-haired brother sat opposite you, he seems familiar in some way but you're unsure how. And Thatch looking at you, almost stumped for words at your bold statement, you also notice that the blonde beside you as gone as red as a beetroot and Marco is hiding his smirk with his wine glass.

Why the hell did I say that?!

The raven still snickering to himself until a bang followed by the table jilting silences him, his face suddenly looking somewhat distorted as he bites on his bottom lip, his gaze going down to his food.

Did somebody just kick him?

Your worried gaze drifts to Thatch but thankfully, he isn't looking back at you so he can't pick up on your nervous state. Instead his orbs are curiously flickering from Sabo to his dark-haired brother, there's a sort of vibe you're sensing with this guy, as if he's studying his brothers very closely.

Are they usually naughty?

"Anyway yoi," The other blonde speaks, clearly when Thatch isn't in charge, this one is. Your eyes locking onto the more intimidating brother's as he smiles at you politely, his eyes still uneasing you though, he looks like a predator and you're obviously the prey. "My name is Marco, I'm the second oldest. And this here is Ace."

Marco gestures toward the raven-haired male and you simply can't help but stare at him, apart of you feels like you've seen him somewhere before but you've no idea where or when, it causes you to frown lightly.

"We've got another brother but he's away with our father on business." Sabo picks up where Marco left off, his confidence is seemingly back but Thatch's sure isn't. You notice the brunette's jaw drop a little as he stares at his brother.

You know the look Thatch is giving him too well; it's the look you give your friend when they let something embarrassing about you slip to your crush or when your sibling is about to snitch on you to your parents. That look alone is simply screaming 'shut up' to his younger brother.

"Oh?"

You're honestly too anxious to say anything else, you dare not ask questions and get the blonde speaking about something that's clearly private and could get him into trouble. You begin to wonder to yourself just what kind of business their father is involved with if he's able to take his children on trips with him.

"Pops wants us all to become great one day." Thatch answers the silent question vaguely, his eyes falling closed as he sips more of his red wine, a small silence follows as he clearly saviors the taste for a moment. "You'll meet Luffy soon, I'm sure..."

This is a pretty big family.
