The Maid. {Vampire!Sabo x Reader}

The Little Brother.

Finally managing to catch up with Marco, you make your way down the large staircase to greet the rest of the brothers. Especially Luffy.

The first thing you notice is the massive man stood at the front door, he's so tall that you wonder if he had to bend to get inside. His hair is blonde and his facial hair is white and he's got enough muscles to break down a wall bare-handed, surely.

IS THAT LUFFY?!

"Hey pops!" Marco chirps from beside you as he approaches the large man with open arms, giving him what looks like a bear hug, a smile as bright as the sun plastered across his face. "How was it yoi?! Did Luffy play you up much?!"

Oh, of course! He's their dad! Wait, Marco is so happy! Am I dreaming?!

"Hey there, lad!" It's only in this moment you notice the young man stood beside the one they call 'pops' and looking straight at you, it was almost impossible to see such a small boy when he's stood beside such a giant. 

Luffy's eyes have the same redness in them as Ace's, you can tell that they were originally brown though. He has a small scar under his eye which leaves you curious since the boy supposedly died by drowning, you've got to wonder what sort of life he had prior to this one. 

He's so young...

"This must be our new maid!" The large man catching your attention once again as he steps toward you, holding out a large hand for you to shake. "I'm Edward Newgate, lass! Sorry my introduction is so late, I hear that you've been filled in on why though, yes?"

Yeah, your kid is a bit murderous at the moment so you had to teach him to behave! Of course!

You decide to leave any snarky remarks in your head as you accept the handshake with a small smile, Newgate signalling to Luffy immediately. "Come and meet the new maid, lad! You'll show her the best of manners, I expect!"

Yep, throw me right into the thick of it! Great!

All of the brothers watch the youngest boy like hawks as he slowly approaches you, the hunger is as clear as day in his eyes and his expression seems a little tortured. If he wasn't tempted to eat you, you'd probably feel sorry for him. But like a trooper, he gently takes your hand in his and gives it a firm shake, his gripping slowly beginning to tighten which makes you pull away.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luffy!" Your smile looking more forced than ever as you stare at the raven in front of you, his gaze averting to Sabo instead, the blonde staring at him with a strict expression; one that seems to scream 'don't even think about it' which causes Luffy to subtly nod before his eyes find you once again.

Lovely, now I have to worry about Ace and this kid!

"You look like an angel..." The young boy's words just about slap you in the face, you hadn't expected such a compliment, especially from a creature that wants to feed on you. Although, it does occur to you that you're wearing a white shirt.

...Even so, that's an interesting word to call me.

"Thank you, Luffy?"

Apparently Sabo finds some amusement in the situation, the blonde snickering to himself as he gives you a knowing look, it's almost as if he agrees with his brother. 

Or is he mocking me?

Suddenly Luffy's attention snaps toward Ace, as if the older raven had thrown something at him or called out to him without your knowledge, they are vampires after all so you assume that it's possible. Nobody else seems to notice it though, Thatch and Marco are far too invested in their father's presence to see or hear anyone else and Sabo's eyes are locked onto Marco, a slight flare in his gaze.

I want to tell him that me and Marco aren't a thing...but what if that's not his problem? Then I'll be left looking stupid and self-obsessed!  

When your eyes drift back to Luffy, you find him now stood by Ace's side, the older raven is speaking to him in a hushed tone but his eyes are glued to your small frame and whatever he's saying, Luffy seems highly interested. 

They're both going to fucking kill me at this rate!

Instinctively, you find yourself shifting toward Sabo, wrapping your arms around his bicep for protection and immediately snatching up his attention. His eyes land on you instead and his brow raises, you can already tell that he's silently asking you if you're alright but you dare not say a thing, you feel like a sheep in a wolves den right now. 

Sabo, help me!

"I-I...just realized, I don't know much about this town." Your words are low but Sabo still seems to hear them over Thatch, Marco and Newgate's conversation and laughter, the handsome blonde giving you an understanding smile. "Will you show me around? Can you even go out in the sun?" 

Your question causes Sabo to chuckle quietly, his aura immediately calms your anxieties as he shakes his head. "Oh no, the sun turns us into dust." His voice coming out as a teasing whisper before he gently tugs on your grip around his arm, urging you to follow him as he passes his distracted brothers (and father) to make his way toward the front door. "I'll show you around now since you seem nervous all of a sudden."

Your brain immediately going into overdrive as you allow the blonde to lead you outside. 

But what about my duties? Thatch said not to take advantage of his patience!

"Don't worry, Angel. We'll get groceries whilst we're out, then you're technically not slacking." Quite frankly, you're not sure what you're more taken back by, the fact that he just so obviously read your thoughts or the fact that he just called you an angel. Surely, your face resembles a tomato right now. 

Does that mean he knows how attractive I find him?!
