Chapter Three: Let's Play 'Hyde' and Seek

Time Skip to Night 

Hyde's POV 

"Jekyll, you promised me control tonight." I said annoyed. I wanted Y/N to meet me. "Fine, but only because you annoyed me half to death." Jekyll responded. After he took his "medicine", I was in control. "Time to meet our dear Y/N." I said joyfully. I walked down the hallway to his room, when I saw purple smoke? I fallowed this smoke to his room where I found him doing alchemy and ... Dancing? He began to sing so I just kinda stood at the entrance.

There was a time, when I was alone. No where to go and no place to call home.

My only friend was the man in the moon, and even sometimes he would go away too.

Then, one night as I closed my eyes, I saw a shadow flying high.

He came to me with the sweetest smile and told me he wanted to talk for awhile.

He said: 'Peter Pan, that's what they call me.

I promise that you'll never be lonely.'

And ever since that daaaay!

I am a lost boy, from neverland.

Usually hanging out with, Peter Pa-an.

And when we're bored we play in the woods.

Always on the run from Captain Hook.

'Run, run, lost boy,' they say to me, 'away from all of, reality.'

Y/N's POV 

As I spun around and opened my eyes, I saw a strange man staring at me. "Gah!" I yelled out of surprise. "W-who are you!" I demanded. "Sorry to intrude, I am Edward Hyde, assistant of Dr. Jekyll." Hyde responded. I snickered a bit at his last name. "What's so funny?" I heard him ask. "Nothing but I have a *snicker* question." I asked, trying no to break down laughing. "Ummmmm, sure?" Hyde responded with a confused look. "I-is your favorite game *snicker* 'Hyde' and seek?" With that final bit out, I fell to the floor laughing like a maniac.

Hyde's POV

After a few moments I got the joke. "Pfffffttt. Nice one. So anyway, what are you working on?" "Oh! I was working on a potion that could help me get rid of these stitches and scars." Y/N responded, getting up off of the ground and leaned on one of the tables. "Well, does it work?" I asked curiously. "I haven't tested it yet so I'm not sure, but I think I shall do that tomorrow. I need a break." He responded. "Well, you said something about hide and seek?" I said playfully, hoping that he would agree to play. "Well, you better start hiding Mr. Hyde." "Please, call me Edward." I responded as I was about to run out off the door to somewhere to hide. "Ok. 1,2,3..." I couldn't hear him anymore. I hid in one of the many closests. 'Hey will never find me, I'm the master of hide and seek!' I thought to myself, feeling my ego increase tenfold. 'Hyde, stop boasting, you know I can hear you right?' Shit, I forgot Henry was in here as well. "Found ya!" I jumped at the sudden noise and may or may not've squealed. "H-how did you find me! I'm the ghost of London at night, no one should ever be able to find me!" I said in both anger and embarrassment, I could hear Jekyll laughing his ass off right now. "Easy, you were whispering to yourself." "Oh, shit." I said, not realizing that I actually was whispering to 'myself'. I looked down at my shoes in defeat, knowing that I have lost. 

Y/N's POV 

'Oh my god, Edward is adorable.' I thought to myself as he stared at his shoes. He had a mop of should length blonde hair, pale skin, and green eyes. He wore a black top hat with a green stripe on the base, white tie and button-down shirt, a green vest that matched his emerald eyes, black dress pants, dress shoes, and a black cloak. As he looked down at his feet , which made him resemble a puppy that had done something bad, I couldn't help but hug him. He was about the same size as me ( in this story Jekyll is 6"2, Hyde is 5"7, and you are 5"9 ) I was only a little taller, so it was easy to hug him.

Hyde's POV 

'Holy shit Y/N's hugging me' was the only thing that was going through my head at the moment. I hugged him back, burrowing my face in the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent. He smelled of chemicals and strawberries. A perfect combination. "Hey Edward?" Y/N asked. "Yes?" He got really close to my ear, causing my face to heat up from how close we were. "Tag! You're it!" He yelled in my ear as tapped my back and took off running. 'What just happened?' I took me a few seconds to process what happened. "I won't be it for long Y/N!" I yelled as I started to chase after him. 

Time Skip 

It was already early morning and I could feel myself reverting back to Jekyll. 'Shit, shit, SHIT!' I thought. "Ummmm, Hey Y/N? I need to go do something real quick, bye!" I said, trying to mask my worry. "Ummm, ok. Night." He said. I walked down the hallway until I was around the corner, I then started running. I felt Jekyll start to take control again, we were both running to our office though, which made me start to slow down since he isn't as fast as me. My messy blonde hair started to turn a reddish brown and began to fix itself up to look all 'presentable'. I felt my skin change colors and my height increase. I managed to get into the office just in time before anyone could see 'me'. I soon went back to my specter form and Jekyll had control over his body. He changed back into his regular clothes and hid mine in his desk.

Jekyll's POV

'That was a close call.' I thought. No one ever knew me and Hyde were the 'same person', and I wasn't going to let that secret slip, but, maybe I could tell Y/n? He feels like he would be the understanding person who can keep a secret. Hmmmmmm, I'll have to wait and see.
