Chapter Four: Secrets

Y/n's POV

I felt slightly worried that Edward running off so I naturally chased after him but I had to slow myself down since I did not want to seen to noticeable. But, right as I was about to catching him, I felt my horns start to grow back. 'Shit!' I thought. You see I'm not human, I don't know what I am. I instantly turned around and , using my inhuman speed, ran back to my room. I ran into my bathroom and threw my shirt off quickly, I also took of my googles to reveal my hazy golden eyes that appear pupilless. All of my tan horns came back in, two on my head, all down my back, and two on each shoulder. The horns brought out my golden veins on my skin around them but they fade away. As much as it hurts me, literally, I got into the bath tub and began to break every single one of them off. They do grow back in 12 to 24 hours since I heal faster then others , as in human beings. Golden blood began to pour from the broken off parts of the horns, dripping of into the drains. My horns that are now lying in the bath tub soon disintegrate into a grayish dust that mixed in with the blood and went down the drain. I took my pants off to reveal three blue tentacle-like you know what's that look like my tongues but I have four tongues. I turned the water on and took a soothing shower to reduce the pain. After I was done drawing off I put on a white dress shirt with rolled up sleeves, tan trousers, white and brown dress shoes, a blue silk vest and a black tie. I also put on my black rubber ( rubber was already invented right? ) gloves on to hide my hands. I have black claws and my fingertips start out blue and slowly fade into (skin tone). The whole reason I was bleeding and running for my life was because the villagers of the town I lived in found out I was inhuman and tried to kill me, they couldn't care less if I was a scientist or not. (The reason Jekyll didn't nothing your golden blood was because you're blood is read with golden flakes in it, only your veins are gold.) Once I was done with my daily routine I decided to go check up on Hyde. I think I might have a crush on him. He's just so cute and boastful, and his eyes sparkle like emeralds. I walked to Jekyll's office and lightly knocked on his door but it was pretty loud. I heard 'come in' through the door and I saw Jekyll standing in the middle of his office. I didn't notice it yesterday but he has a lot of mirrors, I wonder why. "Hey Jekyll, do you know where Hyde is at? Could've sworn he went in here." I asked. "Oh, no I haven't." He responded but I could sense he lied but my back was hurting to much to care. "Ok, do you want to eat breakfast with me?" I asked curiously, hoping for a yes. "Sure!" Jekyll responded delightfully. My hearts beated faster at the fact he looked so adorable! As we walked down to breakfast I couldn't help but to inhale his sent through a hug. He smelled like peppermints. "Thank you for taking me in. I feel like I can tell you anything but," I pulled away from him and looked him in his ruby eyes, "some things are better left hidden right?" I said to him. It's true I feel like I can tell him anything and maybe one day I can tell him some day but right now I'll give him little hints.

Jekyll' POV

'What does Y/n mean by some secrets are better left hidden? I understand that some are but why did he say that?' I pondered. What is Y/n's secret, what is he hiding. I've only seen him a couple of days but not once have I seen him without his googles and gloves. What is he hiding?
