"How was your visit?" my best friend Calum asked.
"Awkward as always" I laughed.
"I hope things brighten up Mel" Calum smiled. I was lucky to have Calum he was always there when I needed him.
"Oh the weirdest thing happened!" I enthused.
"And what would that be Mel?" Calum asked, shifting his weight so he was facing me.
"Ok so when I was walking down the halls this guy started talking to me, it was so.... random" I rambled. Calum just laughed and I laughed with him. All of the sudden Calum took my hands.
"Calum..." I mumbled.
"Mel you know how I feel, I'm sorry... I just" Calum sighed.
"I've gotta go" I whispered getting up off Calum's couch. I couldn't bare to see him so I just had to leave. I don't know what compelled me to go back to juvy but that's what I did.

I walked into the prison and signed in.
A few minutes later my name was called.
"Melanie Rider" a woman said, "You can visit now" the lady continued. I wasn't here to see Jack though. I started down the dark hall.
"Ah she's back" a familiar voice said. I turned around to face Ashton smiling at me. Something about him was so intriguing.
"Hi Ashton" I said nervously. He made my stomach scream.
"How are you Melanie?" Ashton questioned. I wanted to know more about Ashton but I was nervous around him.
"So why are you here?" I blurted out cover my mouth as soon as the words slipped out. Ashton chuckled a little.
"Well, I was mixed up in drugs and lets just say it didn't end well for me" Ashton answered, stifling a small laugh. I don't know how he found it funny.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but how long do you have to be here?" I asked shyly.
"Five months" Ashton said "I've been counting down" Ashton giggled pointing to four tallies on the wall.
"Five months just for that?" I questioned hoping I wasn't pushing it.
"It got a little bit out of control Melanie" Ashton said frowning. All I wanted was to help him.
