"Are you doing alright?" Ashton asked while grabbing my hands.
"Yeah I'm fine" I said snapping out of my trance.
"You sure Mel?" Ashton questioned, scooting closer.
"Just a little distracted" I smiled as Ashton pulled me onto his lap. Ashton's hands moved to the back of my neck as he kissed me. He smiled into our kiss which made me laugh.
"Hey Mel?" Ashton started.
"Yesss" I said, dragging out the s.
"What are we?" He asked.
"Well" I breathed "What do you want us to be?" I questioned.
"If you put it that way Melanie Rider, it would be an honor to have you as my girlfriend" Ashton said with a cheesy smile on his face, making his dimples show.
"Nothing would make me happier" I giggled while pulling Ashton in for another kiss.

CALUM'S P.O.V
Today was the first day of this stupid job that I just got. I really didn't understand why I couldn't just make music like I wanted to but I guess life isn't fair. I drove for about thirty minutes or so until I arrived at the tiny little hardware store. This place is so worn down.
I creaked the door open.
"Hello?" I shouted. A middle aged man came out of another room in the building and headed towards me.
"You must be Calum, right?" He asked while shaking my hand.
"Yes sir, that's me" I answered.
"Well welcome!" he said "I'm Dave, your boss"
"Nice to meet you" I replied..
"Well, Calum you can start off by getting a box of screws from the basement" Dave said pointing to the door on my right.
"Sure thing" I said with a nod. I headed down the stairs and damn was this place dusty. I was walking towards a box labeled 'screws' when I heard a faint thud. I silently turned the corner and what I saw next would haunt me forever.
"Melanie?" I stuttered, tears brimming my eyes. 'Don't fucking cry Calum, not in front of her'. Melanie's head shot around towards me and a look of terror and worry struck her face.
"Oh my god Calum..." She started but I cut her off.
"Sorry to interrupt, please continue practically eating each other's faces!" I spat turning around and rushing out.
"Calum!" Melanie shouted but I didn't turn back. I swore I would never waste my time on her again, but that wasn't what happened.
