[Title/Lyric Variation from 'No Place Like Home' by Marianas Trench]

[A/N] I'm trying this new editor called Hemingway for this story... any improvements? Comments? Would love any feedback. :)

**There is a reason I'm not saying Josh's name yet**

Matt, Max and I walked up to the big tour bus, each carrying two bags. They were laughing about some sort of tour joke and I was showing a small smirk behind them. We'd made conversation for the rest of the car ride about my origin and the instruments I play. In turn, I learned that they always found something to laugh about. By the time we'd pulled up to the bus, I'd gotten a new nickname; Overs.

One by one, we opened the under-compartments to the bus and filled the remaining spaces with my instruments. Then they skipped over to the doors and flung them open, dragging me inside.

'HOME SWEET HOME!' Max spread his arms and yelled at the top of his lungs, Matt laughing and following.

'And we have a new friend, too!' He took my arm and started leading me further into the bus until the came to a small lounge. It had simple black couches across the walls, a TV and X-Box, and two guys with their eyes fixated on the screen. Matt reached over and shut the console off, earning two loud groans in return.

'What the hell was that for?' The one with cropped bleached hair and a strong jawline asked. The one next to him, with long brown hair tied into a lazy bun tossed his controller away, irritated.

'Yeah, I was winning!' They hadn't even seemed to have noticed my presence until Max brought it up.

'We have a new friend,' he pushed me forward a bit and smiled, 'say hello, Overs!' I raised my hand in a slight tilt and gave a little wave.

'Hey, I'm Overman... I'm that person who's gonna be filling in for some times on your tour...' The two's expressions made quick changes to smiles.

'Oh, yeah, I remember you were gonna come today!' The blond one stood up and walked over to me, extending his hand. 'I'm Dan.' I shook it gently while the other guy waved.

'And I'm Chris,' he chirped, and I nodded. Dan and Chris seemed pretty alright, along with Matt and Max. They were all quite friendly, and had quite the sense of humor. It did seem to put a more positive impression on this whole ordeal, but I still felt like something bad was going to happen...

Matt looked around the place and narrowed his eyes.

'Where's J?' Chris shrugged and Dan let out a light groan.

'You mean Mr. Lady's Man? He got dragged out with his girlfriend again for 'one final date before he goes.'' He put air quotes around the phrase and rolled his eyes. 'I mean, what's the point? She's most likely gonna follow us and 'visit' a bunch anyway.' I narrowed my eyes and looked at the four of them.

'Uh, who's 'J'?'

'Oh, he's the lead singer of YMAS,' Matt explained. 'You'll be spending quite a bit of time with him, since you will be singing yourself. He's great, you'll like him.' Before I could say anything else, Max took my wrist and dragged me off to give a proper 'temporary home tour.'

I'd never expected for a bus to be as big as what I was seeing. It had a little kitchen counter with two leather booths across from that, a small lounge where the other guys were, and a bathroom. There was even an area in the front where the tour bus driver was. His name was Sam and tattoos covered him.

Max dragged me to the back of the bus where the bunks had been built in. They were extremely modern and compact and it was a struggle to get my head around the fact that there were beds on a bus. There were two stacks on the left and two stacks on the right creating a narrowed hallway. Against the back of the bus were two more, counting to six beds in total. Max patted the top one in the back and turned to me.

'This is your bunk. We never used it since it was too hard for any of us to get into, so I wish you luck on that, Overs.' I rolled my eyes.

'Oh wow, thank you for being so generous, Max...' I filled my words with sarcasm, grinning. Max smiled as well and pointed to me.

'Hey, there's always room on the couch if you're really feeling that grateful.' I lightly started to push past him towards the front again. 'Plus, I'm below you, so I'll help you up if you need it. The others were too tall to figure the back beds out.'

'I'll certainly keep that in mind, Helyer,' I started to walk back to the lounge, but there was still something confusing me... I turned back to Max briefly. 'Er... Why is... 'J' the 'lady's man'? And why do you seem to always... I dunno, groan about whoever the 'lady' is?' Max chuckled.

Did I say something funny?

'Uhm, sorry...' I started but Max interrupted me.

'Don't be, Overs. We call him Lady's Man because of his girlfriend Morgan. He's infatuated with her and will do anything for her.' I was still confused.

'Is that... wrong?'

'Not at all... But it's Morgan that's the problem.'

'Is she a bitch or something?' He waved his hand slightly as if to say 'kind of'.

'Eh... She's just really annoying. She won't go away for more than two weeks, yanno? And she's always squealing, eugh.' He wiped his face with his hands. 'She's a bit of a brat, always getting a variation of what she wants, but J's so under her spell he doesn't notice at all. But don't worry,' he put his hand on my shoulder, 'hang out with Sam and cover your ears when she's here, and you won't have any problems.' I laughed and shrugged his hand off my shoulder, walking back to the front.

'Thanks for the advice there, Rhythm.' I stepped into the lounge area and stood in front of the TV.

'So, How'd you like our humble abode?' Dan spread his arms and laughed. I smiled, tapping my foot against the floor.

'It's marvelous... But... when're we actually going? 'Cause it'd be a bit odd if we weren't going today but still staying in the bus...'

'Why, Overman, you still hoping there's time to back out?' He winked, 'don't worry, we planned to leave 15 minutes ago. We just need Romeo to return from his rendezvous.' Just when he said that the bus door opened and someone walked in.

'And speak of the devil!' Matt exclaimed as I heard them walk up behind me.

This must be 'J', the lead singer, I thought.

I turned around and I swear, time stopped as I looked up, only to lock my gaze with two Cadet-Blue Eyes.
