I wanna let you guys know some things before the chapter starts, this isn't following the storyline of C.L Stones and there are also gonna be some small differences about the characters. Sang and all the boys still in school are either all seventeen turning eighteen or eighteen. So they are gonna be seniors in school! The boys are going to the school to spy on the principal, as in the books, but not following the exact storyline. Also since it includes the Toma team, they are gonna be in on it to but they are too old for high school lmao. So they have their own roles in the story! Look forward to it.

I am also warning you this is a mature rated story. There will be violence, swearing, and other dark elements. There are many mentions of abuse since Sang's mother is abusive. I warn you to be careful if that triggers you! I will try to give an extra warning about any triggers at the beginning of each chapter, like in this first chapter. There is abuse as well as a graphic dream. I hope you enjoy this first chapter! It took me awhile :)

Also please comment your thoughts, I love to read everyones opinions!! (I'm a comment whore) Enjoy!

Mother ordered me to make a large course meal for dinner tonight. She said that the family deserved a welcoming meal since it was the first night in our new home. The problem was, she told me around five p.m, resulting in me only have an average time of forty five minutes to make it Mother did not like to have dinner much later than six o'clock.

The wide array of food can't just appear out of mid air; they need preparation.

My eyes widened at such a difficult request, and I opened my mouth to confirm her order. I wasn't able to stop the movement, no matter how many times I knew what would happen when I spoke back. Her unfocused eyes sharpened on me, like a viper ready to strike.

The back of her hand whipped across my face before I could blink. For such a sick person, she had such a strong arm.

"You don't disobey my command, young lady!" Her mouth turned downward in a sneer. "I ordered you nicely, and if you don't do it without complaint then we will have a problem here."

I held a hand to my cheek, my eyes watered from the brute force she applied. I knew there would be a bruise. As confirmed by Mother, she disciplined me correctly. I hated going against her rules, the outcome was fearful. "Yes, Mother. I'm very sorry for acting out. I will fix my attitude."

With that response, I waited for her to amble back up the stairs before entering the kitchen. She didn't like when I walked away from conversations first, it always ended out bad. Moving quickly, I shuffled through the box labeled pots and pans around to find what I needed. The noise was super loud, and I glanced up towards the stairs, expecting either Mother or Marie to come storming down in a rage of anger. I pushed through as quick as possible, scrambling to grab the few pans.

The potatoes were on the stove, ready to be boiled. Probably thanks to Father. I gave a small smile as I turned on the stove. I don't see Father much, as he comes and goes a lot. It makes me a bit sad since his punishments are a lot less harsh than Mothers. I gave him a silent thanks as I went back to preparing the other foods.

Around twenty minutes in to preparing, I heard the side door come open with a bang. It startled me, and I dropped the tongs I was holding. They resonated with a slight clang on the countertop. I pulled my eyes away from the rattling utensils to see who had entered the kitchen.

Marie was standing at the entrance. She was already frowning as the scrutinizing gaze of her narrowed in on my presence.

"Marie? What's the matter?" I quietly asked. She didn't like when I spoke to her much, but I worried about her.
