Hello again~
I hope you guys had a good Wednesday. Weeks almost halfway over.
I tried my best to write this chapter, but I've not been in the best of moods. This past Monday, one of closest little furry friends, a guinea pig I've had for seven years passed away. It was so sudden, but she was old. I know she's in a better place now, where carrots and kibble are endless.
Sorry to be such a downer. But I hope you guys enjoy this chapter :)

I sat with my cheek resting against the cool glass, the focus of my vision dancing from object to object as they sped by with the speed of the car. My body curled inward towards my chest, an attempt at keeping myself feeling safe and secure, with my knees pulled up and the heels of my feet tucked under my butt.
Pop music played softly from the radio, barely audible for me to discern what words were spoken.
Dr. Green still hummed along with the quiet music, hitting every note. It was a quiet car ride, seemingly a bit awkward, as I sat in the passenger seat. Corey squished himself into the seat behind me, despite my multiple protests.
With Corey letting me sit in the front, I hadn't the slightest idea what to say to Dr. Green and furthermore decided to stay quiet.
I'm pretty sure Dr. Green had enough of the stifling silence, for he spoke up in attempt to start a conversation.
"So you live close to Kota? That must be nice. How long did you say you've been staying in South Carolina?"
I turned to look at him. He gave me a small smile in return, as if to try and provide me comfort. "Not long, a few days. Though this house is much nicer than our old one." I picked at a small scratch on my forearm as I replied.
"Must be a lot hotter then where you used to live, right?" Corey moved to the middle seat, leaning forwards to rest his arms on either chair as he interjected into our conversation.
I nodded vigorously, "It's super hot, but I can deal with it most of the time."
"Tell me your trick! I cannot stand the summers here. I feel like a chicken in the oven everytime I take a damn step out the door." Dr. Green drew a hand through his curly, shoulder length hair. It fell back to the original spot a mere second after, mussed up and wavy.
I giggled softly before realizing I had just made the noise out loud, the smile disappeared as quickly as it came and I turned to look back out the window, hiding my face from the other two. "I'm sorry." I muttered.
Dr. Green laughed. "Sorry for what? That you can't share your secret with me?" At Dr. Green's comment, I heard Corey give a light chuckle from the back.
"No." I tilted my head, barely, so I was able to see Dr. Green through the soft wall of my hair. I saw him give a quick glance towards me, frowning in the process at how the one word sounded so distressed. "I laughed out loud. I didn't mean too, it was an accident."
Dr. Green's face darkened as he tilted his head towards me a bit more. His eyes strayed from the road for a second, until I panicked and gestured for him to look back towards the road. He complied, but that frown stayed on his face.
I heard rustling in the back, causing me to turn to see what Corey was doing.
He seemed to be trying to get situated behind Dr. Green's chair. Which seemed to be a lot more difficult, for the driver seat chair was pulled back pretty far. Somehow, he was able to get it, with his legs turned sideways so he could face me. "Sang?" Corey's voice was soft, almost calculating. "Can you explain what you mean by that?"
