Megan's POV:
I decided to go to the library today. I usually go their to listen to music. Every time I sit in the same spot, and just ponder life. I walk up the steps and past the checkout. I walk to my spot, it's two chairs in a corner and no one ever goes there. Someone was in the seat next to mine. He was kinda cute so I figured he was here with his girlfriend.
"Is anyone sitting here?" I asked.
"No". He responded and went back to writing in his book. I sat and put my headphone on. I listened to terrible popular songs, then switched to my much preferred classic rock and comedy songs. I saw the boy look at me and started taking.
I took my headphones off and said "sorry, what?".
"Is that bohemian rhapsody?" he asked.
"Uhh, yeah" I said rather nervously.
"So I'm not the only one that listens to stuff like that" he said looking relived.
"Yeah" I smiled.
"I'm Bo" he extended a hand.
"Megan" I responded and shook his hand. "Do you live in here?"
"In the library? Sadly, no" he joked.
I giggled "do you live in town?"
"No, I'm here for summer vacation" he responded.
"Your vacationing in here?" I laughed. "why?"
"I honestly don't know" he chucked back. His laugh was contagious.
"So let me get this straight. You came to vacation here, in this little crappy town. And you decided out if all the places to go, you go to the corner of a library?" I asked.
"Yeah, pretty much" he smiled.
"You're new in town, so why don't you go somewhere cool, and not be known with me and the nerdy crowd" I offered.
"Being with you doesn't sound so bad" he smirked.
"Hitting on me already? why don't you go try to mall, full of whores" I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe I don't want a whore" he said.
"You don't even know me" I said getting up. I already finished my playlist. He grabbed my arm.
"How about we change that?" he smiled.
"Why me? there are plenty of other girls to hit on" I was done with him.
"Because they don't listen to bohemian rhapsody" he called after me. He had a point. I turned around.
"Just as friends, because your new" I said.
"Woah woah, who said anything about more than friends" he innocently smiled. I rolled my eyes.
"So where are you from?" I asked.
"Baby, lets not make this about me" he retorted.
"You know, you make it very hard to be friendly" I said.
"You love it" he said. I must have blushed because he laughed. "Do you wanna get out of here?" He asked. An there he goes ruining it. I thought he actually liked me.
"I'm not a whore" I said starting to walk away. He ran after me.
"That not what I meant, its just we're in a library and we're not suppose to talk" he explained. He grabbed me arm and spun me around. His light blue eyes staring right into my hazel ones."Ye-yeah" I stuttered. He smiled.
"It's my first day here, so you chose where we go" he broke the silence.
"Oh yeah, wait, your first day?" I asked. I thought it he was here for longer than a week. I thought he had been here for at least a week, to know where the library is.
"yeah" he started "I've been here for about ten hours now."
"I know just where to take you. Do you mind a little walk?" I asked.
"Not at all" he responded.
"Cool" I smiled. We started the small walk to where I wanted to go. His hand was right next to mine. He brushed it up against mine a few times. I just looked at him each time.
"Are we almost there?" he asked impatiently.
"Like, 30 more seconds" I responded. He sighed as I lead him to the place.
"Why are we in woods" he asked with what sounded like a smirk.
"Because its a short cut" I said annoyed.
"FIne" he sighed.
"were here" I finally said.
"What is this place?" he asked.
"It's a pond" I responded, "haven't you ever seen a pond before?"
"Of course I have, but why are we at a pond?" he questioned.
"Becuase it's pretty, and sucluded, and no one ever goes back here" I said.
"So you wanted alone time with me?" he smirked.
"Thats not what I meant" I said seriously.
"Why dont you like me?" he asked.
"Why do you keep harrasing me?" I retorted.
"you first" he said before I could.
"Because I don't know you" I said simply. "Now you".
"Because I like you" he mumbled.
"What? Why?" I asked even though I could tell he was uncomfortable.
"Because" he murmmered.
"Becuase why" I asked persistantly.
"Because...." he started "....youre beautiful, and your funny, and your smile is contaious, and your lips just look so perfect." He leaned in and was cenimeters away from kissing me, when I pulled away.
"Look, you dont even know me" I whipered.
"But that's what makes it great." he whispered back. He moved closer to me, and leaned in again. I couldn't pull away this time. His lips crashed onto mine. It started as a soft and innocent kiss, but he turned it into a passionate kiss. His tongue traced my bottom lip asking for entrance. I denied and pulled away.
"I cant do this" I said, getting up and running into the woods.
"Megan, wait!" he yelled chasing after me. He caught up to me, and grabbed my arm.
"Let me go" I yelled as he picked me up bridal style. He walked back to where we were and he let me down.
"Why wont you give me a chance?" he asked. The truth was I've never had a serious relationship.
"I dont want to have my heart broken again" I lied.
"I wont break your heart" he said in a caring tone.
"Thats a lie" I whispered.
"Its not." He said inching towards me again. I let him. He leaned in slowly to me, seeing how I would react. I didn't. When he was about to press his lips to mine I managed to say "Before we do this, can I at least know your full name?"
"Robert Pickering Burnham" he said "Or, as everyone calls me, Bo".
"Megan, Megan Mikhaela Flood" I let out as he pressed his soft lips to mine.
