I meet Matt at the pond. He's sitting where I was when he first found me. I walk up to him."Hey. What's up?" he asks, turning to face me.
"I figured this whole thing with Bo out" I say.
"And?"
"And kiss me".
"Are you sure?"
"I've never been so sure of anything in my life." I say. And he kisses me. I realize that Bo could come back, and I take his hand in mine, making him follow me.
"Where are we going?" he asks.
"Somewhere a little more secluded". I respond, turning to face him. He smirks, and seems more eager to go. I find a spot with a bench in the middle of the woods. It looked new and freshly placed. It had a little plaque attached to it. It read 'Megan, happy one month anniversary, Love Bo'.
I shove Matt down onto the bench and stratle him. We kiss. Our kiss grows more passionate. I forget all about Bo, and realize how great Matt really is. He's been really nice to me these past few years. He's always been there for me. I kiss him lighter, but more romantically. After a minute of this he pulls me so I'm no longer stattling him, and I'm sitting on the bench with my legs on his lap. I hold hishis right hand with my left as we contiune kissing. After a few minutes I pull away, panting.
"Will you go out with me, or is it too soon?" he asks nervously.
"I would love to go out with you" I respond. I peck his lips, and he smiles.
"Awesome sauce" he smiles. His smile is so pure.
We kiss for a while. After our lips go numb, we just talk and hold hands. Matt's amazing. There's so much I didn't know about him. He's the youngest of 5 and has never been outside New Jersey. His favorite animal is a crocodile, he loves the color blue, and he loves video game (just like me).
It's about 5:30 when we hear a strange noise. The sun is setting and it's getting creepy. I hear twigs break and leave crunch. The sounds keep getting louder and louder. I finally see someone coming this way, and theyre holding a chainsaw.
They walk this way and says, "Oh my god really."
"Bo?" I ask, frightened.
"You found it, and with him none the less." he exclaimes.
"What are you talking about?" I played clueless.
"Nothing, just get out of here." he commands.
"So you can chainsaw this bench down. That's it, were really over?" I ask.
"You clearly have moved on".
"Oh, coming from you that means nothing".
"You made out with him".
"You fucked her".
"Megan, look-"
"Save it Bo, I have to go home". I grabbed my sweatshirt and hugged Matt. He kissed my cheeck and I walked past Bo.
"At least let me give you a ride." he bargined.
"It's not that far a walk" I state.
"It's a 20 minute walk in the dark, there's no way I'm letting you walk home alone."
"I'll take my chances."
"Megan," he grabbed my arm, pulling me to a hault, "I'm sorry".
"Sorry for using me, or sorry that I know you used me, or even better, sorry for making me fall for you?" I pulled my arm free and walked away. He just stood there frozen. I started walking and went the route to get home. After a few minutes of walking, I started to cry. Dammit Bo! Why did you have to come to New Jersey. I put in my head phones and blast my playlist. I cant even hear myself think. I take another step and trip on the end of a sewer drain. A broken bottle penetrates my knee and my hands.
A pickup truck pulls over and Bo gets out. "Megan," he yells, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." I respond like it was nothing, "Just a flesh wound". He takes my hands in his and flips them so they're palm up. I have glass dug into my hands. Several peices in each, each shrapnel peice several inches into my hands. Blood is gushing out of my hands.
"Does it hurt?" Bo asks.
"Surpirisingly, No. Only my leg does." I say. Bo checks out my leg.
"You need to go to emergency room." he immedatly says.
"No, I'm fine, just help me up." I command. He immedatly etends a hand for my hand, and I just glare at him.
"Oh, yeah, right." he mumbles. He lifts me up by my waist. I try standing on my leg. I immediatly fall, but Bo catches me.
"Thanks," I murmmer.
"Let's get you to the hospital now". he says. He picks me up and carries me to the passesnger side. He gently places me in the cold, leather seat.
"I- I don't want to get blood in your car," I whisper.
"It's okay, Megan. You're much more important than this stupid car," he whispered. It sent shivers down my spine. He walked to the other side of the car and hopped in. He put the car in drive and speed off to the hospital.
"I'm a little tired. I'm just going to..." I close my eyes.
"Megan?" he says. "Megan? Oh shit". I feel the car accelerate as I fall into a deep unconcious state.
