HEY GUYS! Today I am going to be sharing with you some struggles when you have LONG NAILS. I recently started getting acrylics and although I love them dearly there are some things that are a constant struggle for me and most likely a bunch of others girls as well. So here I am so share them with you.
~ Opening cans is deadly and impossible (hack: use a spoon to lift up the handle. I have been doing this for years.)
~ I know this is TMI but picking your nose is PAINFUL. Your nails are so sharp they scratch and poke them so easily. And it HURTS.
~ Jamming your nails into anything hurts soooooo much. Aghhhh.
~ Sports are completely out of the question.
~ You know those doors that lock when you push the little button in? Yeah you have to push it in with your knuckle now. Your nail isn't strong enough to do it (an it hurts too)
~ Scratching yourself could actually give you cuts if your nails are sharp enough. So yeah, you have mobile weapons on your hands.
~ No way are you peeling off any sort of sticker or glue off of ANYTHING. That's not happening.
~ The day you button or zipper your jeans without any struggle is the day pigs fly.
~ All kinds of crap are under your nails and you don't even know what it is.
~ When you get your eye crusties out in the morning there is a 50/50 chance you will poke your eye out while doing so.
~ Picking up flat objects (coins for example) off the floor is completely impossible. Never going to happen.
~ Can't bite your nails. Ever.
~ You are the master at sliding things off the table (since you obviously can't pick them up regularly).
~ Your nails get caught on everything. Your hair, your clothes, YOUR FLIPPING PONYTAIL. UGHHH.
~ Putting on sneakers, aka shoving your fingers in your shoe so the flap isn't stuck in the back, makes your nails get stuck and OH. MY. GOD.
~ And lastly, YOU CAN'T PICK ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR TEETH. I MEAN COME ON. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE IN A BATHROOM IN PUBLIC AND JUST NEED TO GET THE PIECE OF MEAT OUT OF YOUR TEETH AND YOU HAVE NO FLOSS.
*inhales.
*exhales.
Okay.
