"Change is inevitable. We all live through it. We just gotta learn how to adapt.""Isabel, school!"
Coming mom! I jumped up out of the bed, confused. Looking around I realized this isn't my house. I repeat this isn't Hawaii...
Groaning I lay down again.
Then it sink in, Holy Shitzal, I'm not home. And I-I'm still in the room. Glancing at ths digital clock in the bedside table it's already 12 noon.
Shit! I overslept. I sprinted to the bathroom to take a quick bath, then changed into my jean shorts and a black Hawaii printed shirt I made my way downstairs. I am Following their voices but I meet Dani at the foot of the stairs.
"Good afternoon ate Bei! Hows your sleep?" She is smiling. What a sunshine.
"Heyyy! Good aftie indeed." She then led me to the lunch table.
"Good afternoon Bei!" Uncle Bong
"Bea you're awake anak, hows your sleep? Nakatulog ka maayos?" Auntie
"Oh Auntie, uncle I overslept. So yeah I did have a good night." I went to her and kiss her cheek.
"Shush! It was okay. You're tired from the flight."
"Oo nga hija, sit down and eat." Uncle
"Oh right, it's Saturday in here." I sat down beside Dani because obviously the brothers are on the other side,
"This is your official first day so you're good." Uncle
"Oo nga ate Bea, you'll adjust in time, your body will."
I smiled at them, "Thank you to all of you."
"Oh siya, we have to eat, we're taking you out after."
"I can't wait."
Dani's last 2 days for school will be next week so I'm excited. We're going to bond, like how to spend your summer Philippine version. Pretty sure were going to have a good time. Even more excited when Auntie said we're traveling to their town in the middle of summer. What's that IloIlo, I think.
If traffic was that bad on Honolulu, oh its the worst here in Pinas...My first weekend with the Ravenas was well spent.. The brothers are still out of town. And us we're basically out for this weekend. On Saturday after that lunch we went to the mall to shop and did some groceries. Yesterday we went to church and eat out after again. They're making time for me, getting us to places, touring me around. I will be forever grateful to them. Auntie Mozzy and uncle Bong are so kind and really accommodating. Of course I told everything to my parents. They were grateful about it.

So today, we're going to Ateneo. My papers are okay long before I flew in here, I am just waiting for the enrollment date so yeah, I am tagging along with Auntie Moz. FYI, Mozzy Ravena's a well known sports analyst for volleyball. She was a journalism graduate, a student athlete on college and bagged a slot for Philippines National Team. And that enters my mom, she's her bestfriend and attended the same school, UST. Mom's not athletic though, she was an academic scholar.
