After that fateful encounter in that particular afternoon, we went back to square one. He tryna avoid me as much as possible. Well at least his family doesn't notice it. I am hoping.
Friday morning me, Dani and Auntie are having snack at their back garden. I have a practice this afternoon and Dani's coming with me so Auntie's dropping us off. And she'll be going to her meeting.
"So every summer ate Bea you work?" Dani's asking me about my high school life back home. The other night she was in my room and I was telling her about my friends and the countries we've been to.
"Yeah, I did but Not just summertime."
"Good thing your parents allowed you? I remember your mom nagrereklamo one time."
"Oh Auntie, Mom nearly threw a fit. Lol. Actually, they're really against at first. Mom wanted me to focus with just school and volleyball but I told them I can do it. And that I wanted to earn for my extra expending too. They eventually came around though." I told her sheepishly.
"And you did it, plus graduated with honors too." She says and kind of proud.
"I kind of Auntie.. haha." And I took a mouthful of avocado con yelo. "This is so ono, I like it!"
"This is Thirdy's favorite, too."
"Oh yes, ate Bei. He can eat them like forever." I don't know if she's just exaggerating or what?
"Did I just hear my name? Good morning everyone." Yeah, he came as if on cue. I was facing him And for an instant my heart leaped for joy as I hear his voice. "Wow my fave."
"Morning Kuya, May practice kayo?" Auntie, looking at her son.
"We have ma. And a meeting too." He tasted the avocado from Auntie's bowl.
"Psh, dadalaw lang iyan sa jowa niya ma." Dani, .... they're talking tagalog. I just continue eating.
"Usisera kana naman!" He pinches his sisters nose.

"Mom, how come si Kuya he's not talking to ate Bea?" Dani asked Out of the blue. My eyes widened at her observations. "I don't see them talking, only manong if he's home?" Auntie laughs, and look a her son.
"Dani, he kind of... haha don't worry." This kid, she's making me nervous.
"See, I do talk to her. You just don't see us." He countered.
"Fine!" She pouted and and faced me. "Ate Bea do you have boyfriend in Hawaii or you goin to look one from here?" I was drinking and I choked when she asked me. I turned beet red and Auntie laugh again.
So awkward...
"Dani, don't shock your ate like that! Gosh this kid, you're making her uncomfortable."
"Ma, I just want to know if she's single. I want to match you ate Bei. Hehehe."
I heard him grumble. Dani was still looking at me, "No, I don't... but."
"She's nbsb sweetie." Auntie, offered the information, I bowed my head. Feels really awkward when others talking about you, esp lovelife.

"No boyfriend since birth! Wahhhh!" What is she getting excited at? Kids this days.. lol.
"I should get going." His cold voice heard, and just like that he walked away.
"Please be patient with him more 'nak?" Auntie whispered, she saw me looking at her son's back.
