The original universal guardian known as Arthas Menethil turned into a cold hearted killer. He turned power hungry, killing off thousands of galactic guardians, becoming more powerful than before, making him known as the LICH KING. Nothing could stop him. Unless the universe thought of something, everything was doomed. But there was still hope. The universe gave up half her power to form "The Gift."
