The crust of brown dried blood began to disappear from skin gradually while I stood on the platform. Ahdima kept talking but my mind was somewhere else. My eyes had a faraway stare as I gazed at the bright light that cleaned my body. It felt like an eternity before the light enveloping me vanished. In its place now was lilac colored liquid seeming to seep out of the platform. As soon as it touched my toes it began to cover and move up my legs. I’ve been through this once before for battle training. These types of garments/armor were only worn for space travel, battle training, and anything nitty gritty. Other than that royalty wore the usual pretty dresses and light things.
As soon as my suit was done forming along with the soles of my heels, Ahdima ushered me on back into the hall. I caught a glimpse of myself on the polished surface of the walls. The suit was lilac with lines of white hugging wherever my body curved. My heels clanked softly as we walked along the maze like halls. I spread my aura trying to metaphysically and mentally map out the ship but I couldn’t concentrate well enough. The contents of our conversation was still fresh in my mind. I didn't want to mate. It’s either Sebastian or no one at all. I shivered at the thought but I know it had to be done sooner or later.
"This way" Ahdima called out, looking over her shoulder.
I looked up to find her just around the corner. Unconsciously I followed, head down watching the toes of my heels move one in front of the other. Most of the time I did this just to see where I was stepping. This time however I was just too lost in my own thoughts to bother with what was ahead of me.
"Are you still thinking about our conversation?" Ahdima asked now only three steps ahead of me.
"How can I not?"
"I know, I understand but save the topic for later. We are scheduled for a briefing on our enemy."
"Briefing?"
"Yes, we managed to capture one of them and study it."
I saw her tremble lightly from behind. Was it that discussing of a creature or did she just conceive a deep hatred for them that made her tremble so? Maybe both, I thought to myself. I got lost in my own thoughts again, only hearing the click clack of my heels.
"This way." she said just before she slipped and disappeared around a corner.
She was right I needed to save the topic of my real concerns for later and focus on the bigger picture. I forced myself to forget my worries, straightened my back, and carry myself as the leader I now was and had to be. Stepping around the corner to where Ahdima had disappeared to I was suddenly in a large white conference hall of some sort. I stood a gasped at the size of it. It was similar to the hall were people from the United Nations gathered together. Except everything was absolutely white. So much so it actually hurt my eyes a little.
“Here we are.” Ahdima waved her hand.
I followed her in the theater like room. The rows of seats rose to my right and to left was a white table with curved edges. I assume that was where they controlled images and simulations. A King Zeheertiahkian stood behind the table with his hands behind his back in deep thought. He was big but slightly less wide than others I’ve seen. His black hair was long and it framed his face while the back of it was pulled back in a French like braid.
