[ You: ]
It had been almost 3 weeks since you last saw him. The hole in your heart wasn't going to fill up any time soon. The aching in your gut, the tightening of your chest whenever he came into your mind. Is this what a heartbreak is?
It was raining, hard. The first rain of winter. You weren't going to work today, one day off wouldn't kill anyone. Except maybe Mrs. Goldberg, but you couldn't care less.
The rain was loud, splicing against the windows. You would've almost missed the call on your phone if you hadn't reached for it to check the time.
It was him.
You don't want to pick up. All these weeks you've been trying to put things behind you and move on. Answering this call, hearing his voice... You knew you'd fall helplessly back to square one.
When you don't pick up the second time around, he stops trying. Just as you think that was it, you hear the front gate opening.
Who would come here in this rain? I swear if it's Mrs. Goldberg, I will flip.
You don't flip, at least not out of anger. Because standing out in the rain, is the man who owned your heart. Soaked to the bone, his clothes stuck onto his body, shivering. "Oh my god what are you doing here?" You run to him, out into the rain. You grab his wrist and try pulling him into the shelter of the front porch. He doesn't budge despite your strained efforts. He keeps looking at you, lips pursed, eyes dark. "Why don't you answer your calls?" His voice is a low growl. You have never seen him this angry, you never knew this sweet bunny could have a side like this. "Let's go inside first! You're going to get sick Jungkook!"
"No!" he throws away your hand violently, "Stop telling me what to do. Don't tell me to go anywhere. Don't tell me to leave!" He winces in pain, his voice softening. "Don't tell me to leave."
You feel glad about the rain because no one could see the tears rolling down your cheeks. He steadies himself, clenches his fists and takes a step closer. "I realized something. I think I'm falling in love with you", he yells through the loud pattering of the rain as it landed on the ground, around and between you and him.
You look at his eyes, and you can see yourself. You can see your reflection in his eyes. They say you know you're in love when you love the reflection of yourself in his eyes.
Your legs move before you can think and you jump onto him, wrapping your legs around his hip. He's taken back, but quickly steadies himself, gripping your back and holding you up. You slam your mouth against his, and run your hands through his wet hair. He kisses you back, with more force than he did the last time. Your lips go to war with each other, with a passion. He draws back slightly and talks against your lips, "Let's get inside." You nod, and jump back to your feet.
Jungkook is seated on your bed when you return with a towel to dry him up. "Here, let me," you kneel on the bed next to him and start wiping his hair. "Whoa, I can't breathe," he pushes the towel off his face with a laugh, making you giggle. His smile fades, and that darkness comes back into his eyes. He pulls the towel from you and throws it on the floor. He gets a hold of your neck and brings your face down, reaching for your lips. When you lean in, he pulls back. You furrow your brow and move in further, he allows a slight contact before pulling back again. He was teasing you, and loving the look on your face. You push him away and straighten up, frowning.
He chuckles, a low raspy chuckle and pulls you back. He nibbles at your lower lip before gently embracing it. You angle your head, letting him move closer to you. He throws away his gentleness replacing it with power, and starts kissing you more strongly, more fiercely. A whimper works itself up your throat. You run your fingers through his hair, making him purr. He removes his lips from yours and places them on your neck. He kisses your bare skin softly before sucking at it, working his way down. A low moan escapes your mouth. He moves back to your lips, and you feel a thick wetness reaching for your mouth. His tongue opens your mouth, and freely moves inside. You moan against his mouth. His hands have gotten to work now, working their way up your thigh, slowly pushing up your skirt. You move your hands around his neck and down his back, feeling his muscles tensing.
He pulls away to look at you, both panting from the rush of hormones and blood. Your hearts were beating in sync. You place a soft kiss on his lips.
"Jeon Jungkook, I love you."

You wake up the next morning, lying against his bare chest. He was still asleep, an arm around you, his mouth slightly parted. You circle your finger around the mole on his neck. He stirs and tightens his grip around you. You run your fingers up and down his chest, rising and falling as he breathed deeply. "Morning gorgeous," he places a kiss on your head.
"I thought you were asleep," you mumble against his skin.
"Was," his voice is thick and pretty sensual you think. Is this what he will sound like every morning?
You plop yourself on your elbow to look at him, "Hungry?" His eyes were still shut, but he smiles and says, "Starving."
You put on a long t-shirt and tying your hair up, walk into the kitchen.
"Ooo what's this?" he picks up the knitted bracelet you were working on.
"Oh, that's something I made when I was bored." You turn the stove on, "How do you like your eggs?"
"Make me an omelette with at least 2 eggs," he says holding his tummy and pouting, "I'm really hungry after all you did to me last night." You turn the color of your frying pan, and he throws his head back laughing.
"Can I take this?" he gestures to the bracelet, "So I can wear it while I'm on tour."
"What tour?" You turn around to him, placing a mug of coffee in front of him.
"For our new album. We're leaving in a week."
Your heart drops to your feet, "A week?! What the hell was all of this then?"
"What do you mean?" he stands up, confused.
"Why would you pull into something like this if you were going to leave so soon?"
"What does that have to do with any of this?"
"Who knows when you will come back?!"
"What? Do you not trust me? Do you think I won't come back? Or I'll run away? Grow up, will you?"
Tears sting your eyes at his words. "You know how I feel about relationships Jungkook, you know I'm scared."
"Well you don't have to be baby, nothing will be change."
"I can't do this Jungkook, I can't –"
"Oh my god! I can't believe you right now!"
"I'm sorry, I just.."
He takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. "Newsflash for you, people get hurt. That's a fact. But if you let it stop you from showing your emotions, might as well stop living. "
You let his words sink in. And you know, you know he's right. But your heart isn't strong enough. He's waiting for you to say something. Say something.
He scoffs, and looks away. "You know what? I'm done. I'm done with trying to break through all your walls. There's no saving someone who doesn't want to be saved."
"Save? I don't need any saving! What are you anyway? God?"
"Stop being so immature y/n, you're pissing me off."
"Well leave then! Just go."
"Fine, just don't ever call me again when your mommy runs away." You both gasp, he's shocked by his own words. An icy chill spreads through your heart. Suddenly, all you want is to get rid of him. "Just leave, will you?" You see his eyes changing, his shoulders slouch. He's looking for words to mend his doings. In the end, he gives up. He walks out the door, not once looking back at you.
You watch his tall form walking away, head hung low. With each step he takes you feel your heart disintegrating.
Never again. Never again will I let anyone into my heart.
