In the morning.
Eve went outside. She thought of exercising for a bit, but as soon as she walked out, see was welcomed by tons of guards.
"My Lady! We have been waiting! "
Eve never thought that they would remember what she said yesterday. She really can't underestimate this guards.
As she was being welcomed by each and every guard, she saw Ryu already training.
But what surprised her was that, his partner was Hotaru.
"Ryu! Hotaru! "
When the both of them heard Eve's voice, they immediately stopped what they were doing and turned towards her.
Eve approached them and greeted them. "Good morning! Are you two training!? "
"Nope, just warming up."
Warming up? They were exchanging powerful blows just now. And they call that warming up?
She then puffed her cheeks. Why do I fell like they're showing off?
Eve ignored them and went towards the guards. She took her stance and in an instant the sweet girl disappeared, and was soon replaced by a domineering girl.
"Come at me! "
The guards looked at each other. They thought that they were just going to be a punching bag. But who would have thought, that they were the one's that was going to attack.
But they could never attack her. And it was not because they were afraid they would be punished, they were also worried they would hurt her.
Seeing as they weren't coming at her. Eve sighed, she too a deep breath. And without any hesitation, she shouted. "Oh come on! Don't tell me your just bunch of cowards that uses their status to threat people! And here I thought that you guys are all bite and no bark."
"But I guess it the other way around! You guys pathetic! Forget it, you guys don't have what it takes to fight me. "
With that the guards last nerve finally broke. They began taking all the wooden weapon, and started charging forward at her.
"B*tch! Who are you calling coward!? "
"Don't think highly of yourself! "
"I'll beat you! Black and blue! "
The guards started roaring as they all charges together.
"Heh, so your attacking now. Fine I guess I could entertain you."
Eve boasted with an arrogance voice. But when she saw that all of them was charging together, her face turned pale immediately.
"Wait! Not all at once! "
After she said that a wooden pole was soon directed on her face. Thankfully she dodge it in time, or else her head would have had a hole on it.
"Ahh! I said not all at once! "
Eve started running for her life, as the guards followed behind.
She dodge every single one of them. And then finally she got fed up and turned around. Now she was the one charging at them head on.
The guards saw that she wasn't running anymore and was coming straight towards them.
Then suddenly she jumped and kicked the first guard. The guard that she kicked was holding a wooden pole, and so she took it away from him and started beating every single last one of them.
But no matter how much she beat them, they were too many. With the finally blow her pole broke and was now weaponless.
"Hehe"
Eve laughed and started running away again. The guards that was chasing her was now quarter of the ones before.
She had already beaten up almost everyone but they still won't give up.
Did what she say, really agitate them?
As she was running. Her foot got caught by a rock and she soon tripped, face first.
When they saw that she was now on the ground with her guard wide open. The guards sized the moment.
"Ahh! " Eve shrieked, as she covered herself with her arms.
"Stop it! "
When the guards was about to hit her, Ryu kicked them away.
The guard that had a hammer as his weapon soon fell on his back, and his hammer was thrown away to the pillar.
"Are you okay? "
Ryu reached out his hand and helped Eve stand. Eve took his hand and was about to stand when suddenly she felt a hissing pain on her ankle.
Ryu saw that she sprained her leg. He then lifted her up like a princess and walked towards a stone table.
He put down Eve slowly and let her lean on the pillar. "Rest here for a bit. I'll go get some ice. "
When he was about to leave. He soon felt something tug on his sleeve, he turned around to see Eve looking down.
"You don't have to do that. " she raised her head and smiled. "It'll heal on its own. Besides its just a sprain. It'll heal in a matter of minutes."
Eversince that incident happen Ryu, had been much mindful of Eve. He was really regretting how he was pinned down helplessly, and his life was about to be taken away from him. But what really irritate him was watching Eve got hit by a sword because of his uselessness.
Eve saw that Ryu was deep in though. "Ryu? Is something wrong? "
When Eve called out to him. Only then was he able to come back to his senses.
He shooked his head. "Nothing. Well then, I'm gonna train for a bit. You rest here. "
"Mmm. " Eve nodded.
As soon as Ryu left. The guards that was chasing after her came. They hanged their head down low, when they remembered how they lost it just a moment ago.
"My Lady, we apologize for what we did. Because of us you got hurt again. "
Eve already felt fine and so she jumped down the stone table and began patting the heads of the guards one by one. "There, there. It was really my fault in the first place. So I'm sorry for insulting you. "
When they saw how Eve took the initiative to apologize to them, instead boasting about their mistakes she apologized for hers. Their heart warmed up.
The guards felt really happy to protect her. Even if she was just a guest and not the Messiah, they would really put their all to protect her.
