Together, Trey and Mia walked towards the train station. There were lots of people coming into the city, many rich people with lots of money and not a care in the world.
Trey entered the train station and looked around for Mia. Mia was slowly making her way towards a woman with a big, open handbag. She caught up to the woman and walked beside her, looking straight ahead with a grim face, as if going to work or going home. As quick as a flash, she slipped her hand into the handbag, pulled it out, and snaked through the crowd, back towards Trey. She grinned and held out a purse bulging with notes, then nodded to him. Now it was his turn. Trey turned and slipped away through the crowd, searching for a rich- looking person. He saw a station janitor, with a wallet bulging out of his pocket, just begging to be stolen. Trey quickly snatched it up, though the janitor probably didn't have much money.
He walked away from the janitor, looking for a wealthier person, when suddenly he spotted the woman Mia had stolen from. She was speaking to her husband, a strong man with a tough face. He turned in their direction, and spotted Mia, with the womans purse in her hand. His eyes narrowed and he began moving towards them. Trey whispered in Mia's ear "Run"
They took off, dodging bins and station inspectors, an heading for the exit to the train station. They were only a couple of meters from the exit when Trey heard a squeal.
He whipped around, and saw a man grasping Mia's arm. Mia struggled and kicked but the man had a hard grip and twisted her arm behind her back. The man had a wild look in his eyes, like a predator that had cornered it's prey.
Trey punched the man in the face. Hard. The man reeled back, clutching his face as blood spurted from between his fingers. He staggered into a pair of policeman, who were closing in on Mia and were knocked onto the floor.
Trey grabbed Mia's arm and pulled her. "Come on" he muttered between gritted teeth. Mia looked at him, her eyes full of fear, and Trey realised how beautiful she was. Her dark, sloping eyes and chestnut hair-
Now was not the time. Mia nodded and they sprinted out the door, leaving the curses of the policemen behind them.
