YOU CAN'T PICK WHO YOU LOVE

Chapter Two

Jason POV

I was sitting on a bench outside our school watching the green rusted bug pull up. I automatically figured it would be Kayla and her friend because who else would come to the school and hour and half before it started.

I had a surprise planned for Kayla. We were going to have a romantic breakfast on the roof of the school, but I had to change the surprise because Kayla just had to bring her friend along.

"Hey Jay," Kayla said as she step out of the car. She looked really pretty today espicially her hair. I had always wonder how one day it could be so wavy and the next it would be as straight as a stick.

"Hey Kay," I said a small smile playing on my face, "So were is your friend."

"Oh shes just coming, shes just getting her bookbag out of her car," she replied in her ever so soft voice. I swear her voice was the cutetist thing in the whole entire world.

"Hey Kayla wait up," I heard a voice call from behind me. I then turned around to see Kayla's best friend and I was almost knocked down. That girl was literally right behind me. She had fallen down straight on to her butt. I heard a fit of giggles that belonged to Kayla coming from behind me. Me being the most charming boy alive (sarcasim) decided to do the civil thing and help her up.

As I was helping her up I looked straight into her eyes and I swear they were the most beautiful thing in the world. They were mostly green but had the smalles tint of blue in them, which really made her blue hollister T-shirt pop.

Oh god. What was I doing. I'm checking out another girl who just happened to be my girlfriends best friend. And now I'm just standing here just staring at Jessica probably looking like an idiot. Say something Jason say something.

"I apologies onher behalf," I said pointing to a still giggly Kayla.

"It's ok, I think I've been apologising on her behalf for the past ten years," Jessica said with a smirk playing on her lips. Well that got Kaylas attention.

"Hey," Kayla exclaimed giving Jessica a playful slap in the arm.

"Anyway I am Jason," I said trying to sound all profressional.

"Yes I know, Kayla over here never stops talking about you," Jessica said smugly.

I laughed and turn to a blushing Kayla who seemed to be giving Jessica the death stare.

"And if it's not already obvious I'm Jessica. I figured Kayla's mention me once or twice," she said a small smile playing on her lips again.

"Nope Kayla has never mentioned you before. She doesn't spend countless hours talking about you and all your great childhood memories," I said in a teasing voice.

"Hey! I thought you liked those stories!" I heard Kayla shout now from the side of me.

"Of course I do babe," I say giving Jessica a little funny look.

"So shes mentioned me before," Jessica said reasurringly

"Yes," I said

"Good now I feel special," Jessica said giving a triumph fist pump. I laugh a little because shes being cute like a little girl. Wait. No. Stop it. Girlfriend. You have a Girlfriend.

"So shall we go to this surprise I have plan," I said trying to change the subject.

"Yes I am pretty excited to  see it," Kayla said turning my attention to her "Shall we go?"

"Yes we should," I said wrapping my arm around her waste. Probaly making Jessica feel like a third wheel. Oh Shit. I don't want to make her feel like a third wheel. I droped my arm and Kayla gave me a questioning look. I just tryed to ignore it an look away. But my attention was drawn to Jessica. God her after was so cute. It was simple and casual but it still look great on her. Oh shit I'm staring probably drooling to. I sigh, 'This should be a long morning I think to myself.
