YOU CAN'T PICK WHO YOU LOVE

Chapter 6

Kayla's POV

All things were a sucess. By "flirting" just a little with Brandon I was able to get him to go to Summer Bash with with us. I didn't really want to be my flirtatious self with Jason standing right there, but how else was I suppose to get him to come with us.

Brandon always treats me like that. He thinks I've had a crush on him ever since me and Jessica were thirteen. Maybe I did have a little crush on him back then, but I don't now of course. Well, okay maybe I do but he was like my first real crush, how are you suppose to get over first crushes.

But of course I like Jason more. Jason is just perfect. Like honestly just look at him. I know he not one hundrered percent sure about his future, but I know he has a pretty good idea of what he is going to do with it.

I had just gotten home from when Jason had dropped me off. It was a friday night, so I had to find something to do. Obviously Jason didn't want to hang, or else he would have asked me before I had gotten out of the car.

I think I should hang out with Jess. Who cares if she has Lou over, I love crashing there 'hang out sessions'. I picked up my phone and scrolled down to Jessica contact. Her contact was saved as BEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD. I laughed at the memory of when she saved that in my phone. I pressed call on my phone and it started ringing.

RI-

"Hello?" I heard a voice that wasn't hers answer the phone.

"HEY LOU VAS HAPPENIN!!! Can you put Jessica on the phon?" I asked Lou hoping he would do what I said.

"Sure, one second," I litsen to some rumbling and then a more familiar and femine voice anwered the phone.

"Hey Kayla whats the haps?"

"Nothing much, just wondering what are you and Lou up to tonight?" I asked hopeful that she would invite me. It's stupid to be hopeful, she almost always invites me, but still things have been a little different between us.

"Oh nothing just the usual friday night for me and Lou. We got ice cream and candy and fizzy drinks and were about to stay up till midnight watching a variety of different movies. You wanna come?? Or are you doing something with Jason tonight??" She asked. I sighed almost relieved that she asked me to join.

"YES! I mean sure I'll come why not. Is Lou sleeping over?" I asked. I knew the answer would be yes considering it used to be are tradition ever single friday night. I hadn't come the past 5 fridays though because of Jason.

"DUH!! Do you really not remember are tradition!?!?!?!?!" She said with sarcasim in her voice.

"I know, I know I just wanted to check..so you don't mind if I sleepover to right??" I asked nervously.

"I thought it was implied that you would sleepover. Oh by the way pick up something from DQ on your way over. Me and Lou stuck ares in the freezer and I had to make him promise he wouldn't eat his till the movie starts, which I guess will be when you come over. So I'll see you soon?"

"OH you know me, I would never pass up a chance to get DQ. Be over in ten!"
