Jessica POV
Jason is interesting. He's not my type but if he's who Kayla wants to date than that's fine with me. See, he was to much of a stereotypical highschool boy for me to like. He was captain of the football team and just about every single girl in are school wanted to date him. I think he may be up for some big scholarship to some big school or at least that's what Kayla told me.
I think that taking football as a career choice is a stupid move. I've seen Jason play and he's good, but, he's no Payton Manning. I just think he could do so much more with his life than being a football player or at least trying to be one. For all he knows he won't even make a pro team. I just think he could do something more along the lines of being a lawyer or a banker or accoutant. Not waste his life on some sport that could maybe bring him millions.
Wait a minuet. Why do I care what he does with his life. He's not my boyfriend and he can do whatever he wants with his future. It won't effect me what-so-ever. He's most likely not smart enough to do anything along the lines of a lawyer or banker anyway. Okay stop it, theres no reason to insult the kid, I'm sure he does just fine in school.
"Hey Jess wait up," I heard a familiar voice call, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hey Lou! What's up?" I asked my good friend Louis. A lot of people at our school thought me and him were dating, but we weren't, see Louis is as about as gay as they come. I mean he wasn't a stereotype gay. See his clothes weren't exactly the most masculine but they weren't to femine either. Almost all of the school didn't know he was gay. But some did suspect it. Me and Kayla (and his family of course) were the only two people in the whole school who were actually 100 percent sure about his sexuality. But that's only because we made him tell us.
"Is it true that Kayla and that football guy are going out?" he asked. Louis liked to be caught up on all the gossip around school which is why I'm surprised that he is asking now and not 7 months ago when they started dating.
"Wow Lou you are soooo behind," I teased him, "Yes. They have been dating for around 7 months know."
"Hey don't tease me. I don't exactly pay attention to either Jason nor Kayla 24/7 so how should I had known they were dating?"
I shrugged. "Hey what you get on that history test?" I asked trying to change the subject because I did NOT want to talk about Jason or Kayla at that moment.
"Oh that..well I got a..um uh. a....um," Louis stuttered out. I hated when people stutter. That is part of the reason I broke up with my EX, Philip, he used to stutter all the time on purpose just to annoy me.
"Spit it out already, Lou!" I said.
"I got a B-," Louis said with ashamed look on his face. Louis wasn't exactly the best student. Which was really a downer since he had such big dreams for the future but to be able to acomplish those dreams he had to be a good student.
"Oh Lou I'm sorry. If you want I can help you study for your next test," I said. See I was a really good student. I had to if I wanted to acomplish my goal of going to College in London.
"That's okay. I'm hopeless. Thanks for the offer though," he said in the most unenthustiastic voice I had ever heard him speek in. I could tell that there was something bothering him aside from his history test.
"Hey Lou if theres anything bothering you don't be afraid to tell me," I said reassuringly.
"Actually there is something bothering me," he said whille keeping an intense stare at his shoes.
"Do you wanna talk about Lou cause I promise I'm all ears," I told him reassuringly.
"I do honestly but not here not now. Do you wanna hang out after school? he saidin a very hushed voice so nobody could hear him.
