It's complicated

Willow and Victor have been a couple since a month. It was all just as Willow had wished it to be. But things were about to change.

It was weekend and she was hanging out with Mila. She texted Victor as she was missing him already as always. What Victor replied to her, struck her. He wanted a pause in their relationship. Willow didn't understand why. All seemed so perfect. What had happened?

Victor said that he had to figure out what to do with his life and that he that meanwhile they would not see each other but keep touch. Willow didn't understand anything but she had to accept things as they were or that she thought.

She was hurt but she hoped that the relationship pause wouldn't last too long.
She would still him call him everynight to make sure he was alright. But sometimes he didn't pick up calls, and when he did he seemed broken and depressed. A few weeks later he changed his number and Willow had no way of contacting him.

Willow was always sad, studying harder than ever to be distracted but it didn't work. She missed Victor, she wondered what was going inside him since they last spoke. The last time they spoke over the phone, it seemed like their story was over forever. Though she wished it wasn't that way. She had romantic fantasies of everlasting love, believing that the current situation was simply a phase. Little did she know that within the next year and half she would be in complicated relationship, where at times they were the perfect couple and then went back and forth being friends with benefits. A rollercoaster of emotions. Willow was so innocent that she accepted all of it and had faith in their love, certain that one day would have a family together.

Summer holidays have just come to an end. Willow had cut her incredibly long hair to shoulder length with a frill. She was thinner too. She went into a bookstore, hoping to find something that will live up her spirits.

When she walked out of the bookstore something made her stop. It was as if she felt the presence of a ghost. On the other side of the street was Victor, looking at Willow, admiring how her looks have changed. She noticed the stares.

She looked at the other side of the street. There he was on his motorbike. Also he had changed as well, his hair was shorter, he had shaved his head probably a few weeks ago. He forced a warming smile on his face to show Willow that he was happy to see her. Willow felt like her heart had fallen to the ground. She was breathless and pretended that she hadn't noticed him.

She felt numb the whole day after seeing him looking at her with that admiration. She was convinced that she was able to move on, until their eyes made contact.

Anyway it was the last weekend before school started again. She hasn't been out partying since their relationship pause, she was too broken to have a fun time. But that day she wanted to get rid of the way seeing Victor felt like. A few days back she thought she was fine.

Her friends rang her up and invited her to a party. Why not she thought and prepared herself to go out. It was gonna be her night. Or at least that she thought until she reached the party. It was a latin dance party and she should have expected Victor to be there.

She walked onto the dance floor captivated by the music. There he was at the other end of the room. He saw her before she noticed and already started to walk up to her. Willow was struck numb, she could not move.

"I missed you Willow"- Victor said with an apologizing look, he took her hand and led her away from the party scene.

Willow was not sure what exactly was going on. She didn't know what to say or ask. She only hoped that Victor's apologies and feelings were real.

He talked to her while she listened. He hugged and tried his best to make her laugh. He wanted to know how she had been in the last three months in which their relationship was in a deadzone.

Willow lied to him, she told him that she was fine and has made new friends during the summer. Victor somehow seemed to realize that he was being lied to but he didn't mind as he didn't want to hear that she was broken.

He knew when he looked into her eyes. The brightness they had, had faded. He wanted to bring back the brightness of her eyes and he really did miss her.

He laughed as he rembered how years before he loved to tease her just for the fun the of it. At the time an almost 15 year old Willow how seemed to be annoyed of his apparent crush on her. Shortly after which Willow left to Europe.

"What are you laughing about?- Willow asked amused as she noticed a naughty look on his face.

"Nothing baby"- he said smiling.

After hours talking, joking and flirting around with each other in the parking lot, they decided that they would be friends with benefits for the time being. Rather, it was him who decided and Willow gave in.

Her crush on him was deep and all that mattered to her was him and his happiness. The only thing that was important to her was that they were faithful to each other.

Victor promised Willow that she was the only one with whom he had a relationship, although it was a complicated one. Willow believed his promises were honest until one day she would discover they weren't. But on that night she was far from that discovery.

She was happy that they were back together again or almost back together. Whatever she just wanted to cherish the moment. They slept together that night. They used to talk almost everyday.

But as it wasn'treally a relationship they didn't meet as much as when they started making out.

Things were different now than they had been before, and it wasn't only because Willow concentrated on her high school graduation very hard but there was also something else.
