dance back from the grave

IT HAD FELT quite strange for Esme as she had returned to the role of looking after Marcel who had been drowning his feelings in alcohol, hoping to numb the pain of Davina's death still hard to comprehend as they all had believed, including Sophie, that the Harvest was going to work once Davina had joined the three other Harvest girls in their death. But as it didn't and Marcel was filled with the belief that the Claire was never coming back, drinking numerous bottles of bourbon had been his way of getting through the day as some of his vampires tried to talk to him but he'd be blunt leading to the cease in conversation.

Esme had been dealing with Marcel for the past couple of days as Klaus had taken a visit to Mystic Falls, she didn't understand his interest in going back. She wondered what had attracted unknown to it being Caroline Forbes, a girl he held admiration for with the absence of the Browne who was somewhat officially back in his life and he didn't want her out of it. He knew, from the days where he had looked at her, understanding that it wasn't some dream and she was living with them, he knew that he wanted her back more than just friends.

Vampires had begun to congregate around the middle of the compound with word of the meeting that Klaus had called and which had summoned all of the those who could stand underneath the sunlight. Marcel moved amongst those vampires, heavily stepping down the steps as Esme had lurked behind him fiddling with her cellphone as her eyes followed after the Gerard as Diego had caught notice of the vampire, whom he followed, approach. "Hey, Marcel," He called as he pushed himself to his feet. "maybe you know what's going on. Klaus ordered us to meet here, and now he's a no-show."

"What do you want from me?" Marcel questioned as he hoped to be left alone, where no one would ask him questions and where he could sit in his grief without anyone bugging him. But Diego continued to follow after him, hot on Marcel's heels with hope of getting a better answer. "It's a new regime. Get used to it."

Diego's eyes rolled, he had hoped for a better answer from the person whom he had followed, who usually had all of the answers that were perfect for him. Esme helplessly pursed her lips as she rested against the railing around the balcony of the middle of the compound before catching notice of Klaus marching approach into his home. "Dearest Brethren, your attention, please. No doubt, you're all surprise to see Thierry Vanchure," Esme's brows raised in shock with the man who had been bricked into the wall in the dungeon, part of his punishment for what Klaus, Rebekah and Esme had put together. "who's supposed to be rotting int he garden for the crime of killing one of our own, and I personally decided to issue him with a pardon. I hope you'll all welcome home Thierry."

Everyone was happy to see the vampire who had slipped on his hat before a smile a broken out on his face because of how excited he had been to reunite with his friends. Applauds had filled the centre of the compound, everyone with enthusiasm for the return of one of their best friends. But her worry had travelled to Marcel, she knew that Thierry and him had been close and she questioned why he wasn't too happy about the vampire's release to the streets of New Orleans.
