chapter twenty-eight. save my soul
❦
"THERE YOU ARE, finally." Klaus sighed in relief with the approach of his brother as he entered into the dining room where the hybrid didn't stand alone but with Esme who was awaiting for Freya's arrival as she was invited to brunch with her siblings and the Browne. Esme knew how long it took for someone like Klaus to put his full trust into an individual, and it seemed that Freya deeply wanted to gain that trust of her siblings she had been eager to meet from the stories she heard of them and the glimpse in the 1900s she had. Klaus felt it was for the better for them to talk over a brunch, listen to Freya's story, her past that was ruined by Dahlia. Elijah had liked the thought of getting to know Freya, wanting to know if she was to be any harm towards their family, if she was going to be a danger that they needed to be aware of.
Elijah had forced problems throughout his morning, knowing how the witch faction didn't like the idea that Eva Sinclair roamed around New Orleans, even thought Rebekah possessed the body for the time being. His duty was protect his sister while in the witch's body and with the mob that hung outside of Marcel's loft, Elijah had found the Josephine LuRue had broken her promise even after Vincent Griffith had been handed back to her. "I was delayed." Elijah apologised as he rested his coat to the side and out of his way.
"Our guest of honour will be here momentarily." Klaus informed.
"Strange." Elijah commented as while he entered into the compound he had realised how silent it was unusually, bringing him to his intrigue of where the pack hovered as they had moved into his home. "The house is conspicuously absent of our lupine guests." Esme chuckled as she knew that the reason he had moved out was because he probably couldn't bare the sight of Hayley and Jackson together, and while he had talked he had taken intrigue to the layout of the dining table, making sure that plates and cutlery sat on the table correctly. "I do hope it wasn't on my account."
"I sent Hayley and her poorly groomed husbands off to spend the day with their were brethren to test the limits of their new abilities." Klaus told as he begun to march towards the door leading to the centre of the compound. "Leaving me to deal with family business as I see fit." His eyes narrowed beyond the door, waiting to catch sight of the witch hoping that she'd join them in their brunch after receiving her invitation.
"Rebekah's situation has taken a turn." Elijah announced.
Esme's brows furrowed in concern as her grip tightened on the back of the chair she designated as her own while her free hand rubbed over the fabric that hugged onto her stomach. "What are you talking about?" She asked.
"We may need Freya's assistance," Elijah told the Browne who couldn't help but feel much more worry towards her best friend. "so whatever you're planning here," His eyes landed on his brother who glanced over his shoulder at the Mikaelson. "don't." Elijah warned.
