So Anne kissed Gilbert.
And what you thought someone would enter to ruin the kiss? No way I'm not going to ruin the moment !
It was their moment.
After a few moments they separated from each other.
—wait Gilbert wait— Anne said.
—what? What happened?—Gilbert asked.
—this is not the right place. I see you at midnight out of the house.
—But what If-
—Shhh— Anne said touching Gilbert's mouth with her finger—Just don't let anyone see you, bye Gilbert— Anne said while leaving the garage.

"I see you at midnight"
Those words keep ringing in Gilbert's head.
He couldn't believe he liked Anne, anne knew it and she liked him back. It was like a dream. But he was afraid, he didn't wanted to turn this dream into a nightmare.
Gilbert was going to make Anne believe he was the right man for him. He didn't had a lot of money or a big car, but Gilbert had a heart of gold.
Anne was getting ready on her room. Her parents were already sleeping so she decided to find something to wear, and of course thinking what she was going to do with Gilbert. She was so excited.

It was 11:57 pm so Anne went out of the house, when she got outside Gilbert was already there. He didn't knew what to use so he put on some of his best clothes.
—Blythe looking good— Anne said.
—Thanks Shirley, but you look even better— Gilbert said with a smile.
—I don't think so.
—well you should. Where are we going?— Gilbert asked.
—we are going to a fancy dance— Anne said.
—what are you saying?— Gilbert said laughing.
—You told me you wanted me to be myself so we are going to that stupid dance the kids at my school made.
—is like one of those school proms?
—well it's not because we are on vacations it's just like a reunion prom you get me?
—yeah kinda, but without masks?
—without masks.
—But what if them tell you parents about us?
—they don't care about me, they don't talk to me why would they notice you— Anne said and they got into the car to drive to the party.

—it's here. Also you are going to met my friend Diana, be nice— Anne said.
—it will be a pleasure— Gilbert told her while leaving the car.
—Anne !! Hi !!— Diana saw Anne and immediately went to hug her. They had a long time without seeing each other.
—Hi Diana ! How are things?— Anne asked.
—Good really good. What about you? And also—Diana said whispering— who is that handsome guy?—Diana asked.
—it's a long story. Let's just say he is my date tonight— Anne said.
In that moment Gilbert's heart stopped "my date" he was Anne Shirley's date. What a dream.
— Hi Diana is really nice to met you— Gilbert said to her while shaking his hand.
— it's really nice to see you too— Diana said.
—well we should enter— Anne told them.
—yeah let's enter— Gilbert said.
In the moment they got inside everyone was looking at them.
—why they are looking at us?— Anne said.
—they are looking at you I think. And I don't blame them you look gorgeous—Gilbert whispered her.
But they were looking at Gilbert. Who was he? Why was he on the party? And most importantly, why was he with Anne?
The night was passing by and they were just having fun and eating. Almost at the end of the night a slow song was on.

—oh I love this song !— Diana said.
—me too— Anne said.
In that moment a boy called Charlie invited Diana to dance.
—oh sorry I'm here with my friend— Diana told him.
—what are you saying? Go with him !— Anne told her.
So she went dancing.
In that moment Gilbert looked at Anne. She was completely beautiful.
—so— Gilbert said.
—so?— Anne asked.
—Do you want to dance?— Gilbert said.
—I don't know how to— she whispered.
— me neither. Do you want to figure it out?
—I will regret this— and she got up with him.
—or maybe not— Gilbert said while touching her hand.
—or maybe not...— Anne said.
So they started dancing. Looking into each other eyes. It was a beautiful moment and again nothing mattered in that place, only Anne and Gilbert.
—Anne how you do that—Gilbert said.
—do what?— Anne asked.
—How do you make me forget about everything? Like seriously everytime I'm with you the entire world disappears— Gilbert said.
Anne was speechless.
—oh Gilbert— she said laughing.
—oh Anne...— Gilbert said. They were still dancing. And they continued doing that the rest of the night.

The party finished. But something happened.
—oh well look who is here !— a boy said. He was Billy Andrews.
—what do you want Billy?— Anne said.
—well it looks like you got dress a little, having a rich dad finally worked for something— Billy said.
—Go away— Anne said.
—But don't worry you still look ugly no matter what you put on— Billy said.
—Didn't you heard ?! She told you to go away!— Gilbert told Billy.
—So now you have a bodyguard Anne? It's sad that only him wanted to dance with you— Billy told Anne.
Gilbert didn't even thought what he did after that. He hit Billy. He almost felt but he didn't hit him back.
—c'mon what's your problem— Billy said.
—don't even open your mouth again if you don't want me to finish with you.
Billy didn't said anything else.
—And if you ever hassle Anne again, you'll regret it— Gilbert told Billy. After that Gilbert and Anne left the party.
Anne couldn't believe all that happened in that night. She never had someone that defended her before. She barely talked to the boys at her school. But Gilbert Blythe changed everything.
They were just falling. But everything that falls breaks too.
