Save Me Before I Go Hiccstrid

Chapter 8

ASTRID POV:

We gave the hunters the dragon eye and they let us fly back to the edge. I got a idea. "So how did you train Toothless" I asked as we flew. "Well after I shot him down I found him injured in the woods. Instead of killing him I wanted to help him" said Hiccup. "Is that why you left Berk" I asked. "Mostly, I just couldn't kill that dragon so after Gothi picked me instead of you I ran away and found the edge" said Hiccup. I remember I was so mad that day. I was at my Uncle's farm throwing axes at targets and other objects. I almost hit a sheep. "So who won any way" asked Hiccup. "Well we waited a couple weeks but you never came back so I was chosen" I said. "Oh" said Hiccup. "That was three years ago, I changed since then" I said. "So you're saying you don't kill dragons anymore" said Hiccup. I was silent. I haven't thought about that I guess but Hiccup showed me dragons are actually friendly. "Let's just get back to the edge" I said. The rest of the flight was silent. 

We made it to the edge at night. I had to help Hiccup walk to his bed. He looked cute. Eew wait what am I thinking? I laid Hiccup down and started to leave. Hiccup grabbed my hand. I turned to him trying not to blush. What is wrong with me? "You can sleep with me if you like" said Hiccup. "Fine" I said pretending to be tough and annoyed. I laid down and Hiccup wrapped his arms around me. "So uh, why did they want the dragon eye so bad" I asked trying to distract myself from reality. 

HICCUP POV: 

"They wanted it to get this dragon they have been hunting. They don't know much about it but the dragon eye has a lot of dragon knowledge about every kind of dragon" I said. I closed my eyes. "How much information" asked Astrid. "Enough to make the book of dragons look like a beginners guide" I said. "Wow, that sounds like a lot. I bet Fishlegs would love to have one of those" said Astrid. I opened my eyes and laughed a little. "Ya I can imagine. How has the gang been though? After all it's been three years" I said. 

"They are basically the same. The twins still get into trouble all the time and are still hurting each other. Snotlout still flirts with me which I find annoying and Fishlegs is still a geek" said Astrid. "Well I guess not much has changed" I said. "Ya, anyway we should go to sleep" said Astrid. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. The next morning I woke up and found Astrid was gone. I got up and stumbled downstairs. Walking with a injured leg is not easy. I had Toothless help me walk. We made it to the club house and Astrid was there. "Hiccup, you shouldn't be walking yet" said Astrid. "I wanted to see where you went" I said crossing my arms. Astrid signed. "I just made breakfast. Anyway we should probably bandage up your leg and make sure it's not infected" said Astrid. I sat at a chair and took my left boot off. I rolled up my pants a little and looked at the cut left on my ankle. "I'm thinking it might leave a scare but it looks okay" said Astrid. I wrapped up my leg and put my boot back on. I noticed Astrid kept glancing over at me.
