Hailey went home and saw her father doing his favorite thing—reading his newspaper, by the living room. "Hi, dad." She kissed William's cheek and finally proceeded to the kitchen, where she guessed that her mother will be.
And she was right. Patty was on her floral apron as she walked around the kitchen. "Hi, sweetheart." Patty acknowledged her daughter and Hailey finally sat down on the stool. "You're quite early today."
"Yeah, Mr. Parker wasn't feeling well today so he dismissed us early. What are you making?"
I'm making fudge brownies. We'll have them later for dessert." Patty announced as she mixed the batter one last time before finally putting it in the oven to bake.
"Sweetie, why don't you change first? Your shirt had probably dried up from sweat." Patty had always been a full time mother to her children and she loves it.
"I...actually have something to say." Hailey started. She was drumming her finger over the kitchen island waiting for Patty to answer.
"Alright, what is it?" She stopped to listen. She wiped her hands on her apron.
"Okay...so there's going to be this... seniors night happening at school but its not necessary to go, but Milicent's just so pushy and she wants me to be there—" Hailey took a heavy breath, she didn't really wanna come but she had already said yes to Milicent and she didn't want to disappoint her.
"So you wanna to go, sweetie?" Patty answered. Her lovely eyes were already glittering.
"I, I guess—"
"Of course you can go, Hailey!" She heard her mother and she was actually hoping that she would say no. "Oh my, it's so good to hear that you will actually attend a school party this time. I should probably call Milicent and say thank you."
"She's really...pushy." Hailey mouthed.
"I smell something good!" William entranced still holding his newspaper and a pen tucked behind his ear.
"We're having fudge brownies for dessert dear. I'll prepare the table now." Patty announced as she peeked through the oven.
Wiliam sat beside his daughter and put his newspaper down on the kitchen island. "Dear, I've heard that there's going to be a party at your school..."
"Yeah—"
"As a matter of fact, Honey, she'd be finally attending." Patty was obviously more excited.
"About time, sweetheart. You had already missed 3 years of your life."
Hailey laughed at her father's joke."Dad, I'm actually enjoying my life even without those parties."
"Well I'd say..." As a father, William was glad that his daughter was finally trying to get out her little shell. But he will always be as protective as ever.

It was finally the night of the party. Patty had called a make up artist to do Hailey's make up and hair even thoigh she had insisted a lot of times that it was not necessary.
Her long brown hair was straightened to perfection, she had light make up which she begged for the make up artist to do. She's not a fan of a full make up transformation. She wore a long sleeved fitting dress that was above her knees and showed half of her back. It showed her great curves and it only made her complexion even more striking with its navy blue color. It was the make up artist's choice and if Hailey was given a choice she wouldn't choose the dress she's wearing.
"Do I look l...okay?" She asked as she gently tugged the hem of the dress.
"Oh, dah-ling you are gorgeous!" The gay make up artist turned Hailey slowly around as she scanned her carefully. "You are going to make every man stop and stare."
