3| Unexpected Surprise

Camila Cabello was on her way to her boyfriend's condominium they lived in Toronto with her best friends, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, to meet him for a little while because of her busy schedule, rehearsals and all the photoshoots she was offered.

"Milz, you sure Shawn knew about us going in his condo? I mean you can just drop us here..." Ariana asked to the brunette-haired Cuban-American girl, while driving.

"Thanks for reminding me, I forgot about tell him 'bout that," Camila thanked her and dialled Shawn's phone number but instead for a reply, she received a voicemail from him. 'Hey, Shawn here, sorry for not responding your call. Please leave a message or a voicemail.'

"Huh?" This was strange. He never miss a call from her unless if he is on stage or they recently had a fight and no one yet apologise. But neither of them was the reason.

"Cami, did he answer?" Taylor asked as she shook her head, "No. He never miss a call unless there's a reason." Camila replied, doubt lacing on her voice. But, just then, she received a call from Niall. Camila accepted the call and said, "Sup Nail, wass—." She was interrupted by him.

"Camila, 'wassupp' isn't the best word for now. I know you're here in Toronto, but..." He paused, trying to crack his voice. "I need you to be here, outside his condo... now." He ended, not at least gave a chance to Camila to talk.

As soon as Niall dropped the conversation, she told Ariana, "Ari, drive a little bit faster." Ariana nodded, brought up the car's pace.

She was nervous, what if something happened to Shawn? Or it's just a prank? She doesn't know.

The drive is actually gonna take 8 minutes if they drove in an normal pace, but they just arrived in 5 minutes. Camila got out of the car, seeing a worried Niall, waiting outside the gate. As soon Niall saw her, he hugged her and pulled away in a second.

Ariana and Taylor showed up behind her back, gazing on him worriedly. Camila asked, "What happened?"

Niall answered straightly, leaving no space between (no pun intended) the words. "ShawnandItalkedaboutourlivesuntilhecussedandtoldmetocomehereandhungupwithouttellingthereason..."

The trio tilted their heads, not understanding any words their Irish friend is speaking about, "Niall, slower down your voice." Taylor told him and he repeated,

"Shawn and I talked about our lives... until he cussed and told me to come here and hung up... without telling me."

Camila's eyes widen and swiftly find the keys of his condo in her purse. As she found it, she quickly open the gate, leading her friends and stop in the porch to knock if there are signs of him inside.

She knocked thrice, but no footfalls was heard.

She knocked three times again, getting anxious at the moment. But no one seems to open the door. Until she got frustrated and open the door.

She entered the building, and scan everywhere. The television was left turned on in the living room, no one was watching. The kitchen seems empty. She called out, "Shawn?"

No answer.

Niall tried, "Shawn, bro?"

No answer still.

Just pure no answer.

Ariana went upstairs, without anything to tell them. When she stepped onto the last step, she noticed all the doors upstairs are closed except for one. 'That must be Shawn's room...'

She walked, going to the slightly opened room, sniffing some hints of blood. She went in the room and her breath hitched when she saw the scene.

Taylor, Camila and Niall tried to call him but he didn't answer in any of their phones. Camila noticed Ariana wasn't with them anymore. "Guys, did you see Ari?" She asked and Taylor said, "I thought she was with us. Maybe she has a—." She was interrupted by a familiar scream. Ariana.

They heard Ari saying, "GUYS! COME HERE IN HIS ROOM! NOW!" They swiftly ran on the stairs and to the hallway until they saw Ariana, her eyes widen as if she saw something horrible.

When she saw them, she told Camila instantly, "Baby C—" Taylor cut her off by saying, "That's my nickname for her, missy."

Ariana turned her gaze on Taylor and told her, "There is no time for that, Tay." And turned back to Camila, who is slightly confused. "Camila, I don't think you should go in first." She warned Camila and Ariana told the duo, "Guys, I think you should check the scene now.."

They nodded and went in.

While Taylor and Niall were still inside, Camila asked, "Why can't I go there first?" Ariana was about to speak up when they got out of the room, their reaction was the same as Ariana's but Taylor has puffy red eyes.

That's when Camila went in swiftly in the room and saw everything. She regretted going inside the room. She wished this didn't happened now.

His bloody lifeless body, laying on the floor.
