When we get there they let us in and we do the introductions and what not, Rachel made a casserole for dinner which was actually amazing, and we all chatted. By 8:00 Rachel and my Mom were about to open a bottle of wine, having finished what little was in the first one.

“Isaac and Liz go hang out while us adults catch up” Rachel says light heartedly. I roll my eyes but we head upstairs to Isaacs room.

“So…” he says awkwardly, staring at his hands.

“You wanna do something? You know rather than just sit here?’, I say to him.

“Yeah we should take a walk.”

“A walk?’

“A walk.”, he confirms grinning. We head down stairs and I grab my jacket, just before we head out the door Mom asks where we are going,

“Just for a walk, to a park I think” I say to her.

“Okay just be safe.”, she  says and then adds, “Oh and remember the rule” I roll my eyes knowing that she’s talking about the no boyfriends rules and under my breathe I say,

“Trust me it’s not happening”. I mean don’t get me wrong Isaac’s hot, like really hot, he’s tall with dirty blonde curls and a real muscular physique, also really defined bone struc- ok I’m stopping now

Isaac and I start walking, I of course have no idea where we are going, neither of us has said anything for a whole five minutes so I break the silence,

“So tell me about you”

“Really? That what you came up with?” he asks me sarcastically.

“Well you haven’t said anything for, like, a whole five minutes and it was getting awkward” , I chuckled.

“Okay well then I’ll talk”

Silence.

“You realise to talk you need to say words right”, I laughed.

“Oh ha-ha, I’m just thinking of what to say, how about you ask me stuff and then I’ll talk.”, he said exasperatedly. By this time we were at the park and both swinging on swings. “Right okay well for starters, this just pathetic but it’s the only way you’ll talk” I start, “tell me about school”

“Are you serious?”, he asks confused.

“Well yeah.”

“I go to the same school as you…”

“You what?”

“I go to Beacon Hills, I play first line in lacrosse, have you never watched a game?”, he asks laughing.

“Well, yeah, of course I have.”, I tell him.

“Then how have you never seen me around. You must have, c’mon you even bumped into my friend the other day.”

“Stiles? Was that his name? Wait he’s your friend? But he’s a-“

“Senior” he finished, “yeah he’s a senior and so am I”

“Wow I really do pay no attention”, I say slightly intimidated now that I know Isaacs three years older than me. How did I not know he was a senior? It’s not like I’ve never met him before, well I guess being five years old you don’t really worry about the age of your friends.

“You didn’t know I was a senior, did you?’, he asks me quietly, smirking.

“Well, I- uh… no I had no idea”, I tell him giving in. I jump off my swing mid-air and go to sit on the top of the playground, Isaac gets the message and follows, sitting opposite me.
