Wednesday 26th February

“Liz!”, I hear Stiles and Allison yell at the same time, I spin around and they jog over to me.

“Hey”

“Hey, so tomorrow.”, Stiles starts, regaining his breath, “Tomorrow is Isaacs birthday.”

“Oh, how didn’t I know this?”, I ask them.

“Well he doesn’t really tell people but we’re his closest friends, so of course we know”, Allison says smiling.

“So do we have plans? Or anything. Oh my god! What am I going to get him?!”, I say in a panicked voice.

“Ah see that’s where I come in.”, Stiles says with a smile from ear to ear, “We are going to the mall after school to buy him his presents.”

“Oh, thank god.”, I say relieved.

“So meet me buy my jeep after school and we will go straight from here, okay?”

“Yep.”, I say popping the ‘p’.

“Oh and also”, Allison says, “after school tomorrow we are all going to his favourite diner.”

“Ooh sounds good, now I gotta go before I’m late for Chem.”

“Okay seeya after school!”, Stiles calls out.

The final bell goes, so I grab my stuff from my locker and head to Stiles’ jeep. The drive to the mall takes 20 minutes and the whole time Stiles never shuts up, but it’s comforting. He talks about lacrosse, his school work and how he doesn’t remember how he got home form that party,

“Oh that was us, Isaac and I drove you home.”, I say laughing.

“I thought it was either you guys or Scott, but I remembered Scott was a bit busy eating Allison’s face”, He says grinning.

When we pull up to the mall I say,

“So what exactly are we getting here?”

“Well I thought that we could get him new lacrosse gear, ya know? Most of his stuff is second hand, used to be Jackson Whittemore’s.”

“He was the douche-bag Lydia used to date, right?”

“Yep, that’s the one”, Stiles says to me.

“What happened to him? He just sorta disappeared.”, I say to him wondering if he knew anything about it. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad the douche is gone but no-one really knows where he went.

“Oh- I, uh, I dunno what happened.”, Stiles says unconvincingly, “Anyways, I’m gonna get him new sticks and gloves, and I thought you could get him a helmet. They just brought out this new one, it’s super cool and no-one on the team has it yet.” Stiles is clearly excited about this helmet so I nod and we make our way over to the sports shop.

Stiles picks out the equipment and we pay for it, I decide I want to get him some chocolates too so we head over to the store and buy chocolates and cards.

“Did you wanna come back to mine? We can wrap all this stuff and hang for a bit.”, Stiles says to me.

“Yeah, sure. I’ve gotta be home by 6:30 though.”, I tell him. I guess Mom and I are having a pizza night.

“Yeah that’s cool, we got a couple of hours.” The drive back to Stiles’ place only takes 10 minutes, it’s closer than the school was. We head up to Stiles room and wrap the presents. I’ve got to admit the helmet was pretty nice, and we had got it engraved at the back with his name on it and a short ‘Happy Birthday’ message.

Once we wrapped everything we decided to play some video games. Mid game Stiles’ dad opened came in,

“Stiles I- oh hello?”

“Oh, dad, this is Liz.”, Stiles says.

“Hey, Mr Stilinski.”, I said giving him a smile and a small wave.

“Are you two, ya know?”, he said awkwardly.

“NO, no not at all.”, Stiles says quickly. Mr Stilinski left after that and we continued our game until it was time for Stiles to drop me home.
