Monday 10th March
When I see Isaac on Monday morning I completely forget that I was mad at him about the whole Cassidy thing and I run straight up to me and hug him, he’s tense at first but then relaxes and holds me tightly.
“I’m so glad you’re okay.”, I tell him, still holding him tightly. I see Stiles walking over to us and he smiles at me. Isaac stays with me as I get all my stuff and just before I walk into my class he says,
“I’m sorry.”
“What for?”, I reply. Surely not about the Cassidy thing, he doesn’t even know I was annoyed about that. Unless Stiles said something?
“I didn’t want you to have to go through that, or see me like that. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. I’m just so confused.”, I tell him.
“You want to know what’s going on?”, he asks as he takes my hand. I smile and nod, “After school on Friday we’ll go to Deaton’s and I’ll explain everything, okay?”
“Okay.”, I tell him and I got to my first class.
I was late to lunch so I’m surprised that Cassidy isn’t there yet, surprised but not disappointed. I took my usual seat next to Isaac and Cassidy doesn’t show up at all but no one really notices.
Wednesday 12th March
For the third day in a row Cassidy hasn’t sat with us, I have no issue but it’s just weird. Apparently Stiles notices too because he asks Isaac,
“Where’s Cassidy? Was the date really that bad?”
“Actually I have no idea, I haven’t heard from her since Sunday.”, he replies.
“Well I don’t care.”, I say and Isaac turns to me with an eyebrow cocked while Stiles tries to suppress a laugh, “What? I didn’t like her. You acted all different around her.”
“You know you could have told me.”, Isaac says, ‘Is that why you wouldn’t let me take you home?”, he asks me, with a more serious tone now.
“Uh, well mayb- Yeah.”, I say laughing. Under the table he entwines our fingers together. I give him a wide grin and he laughs at me.
Friday 14th March
After school I hop into Isaac’s car, happy to be back to normal. None of us have heard of or seen Cassidy around all week, which is weird but I tried not to think about it.
We drive to the animal clinic only to be greeted by Derek,
“What’s she doing here.”, he says with his arms crossed.
“She’s a target Derek, and she deserves to know.”, Isaac says to him confidently.
“What because she’s your girlfriend?”, Derek questions and I smile. Isaac and I aren’t dating but I do love the idea of it.
“We-we aren’t t- together.”, Isaac stutters. Derek laughs at Isaac and lets me into the clinic. Isaac mutters an apology as we walk in and I say,
“Oh don’t worry I have no issue”, and grab his hand, he grins at me and puts an arm around my waist. I love being back to normal.
Scott, Stiles and Deaton are already there standing around the table so we join them.
“Okay, Liz. If we tell you this there’s no going back. You got that?”, Derek says to me fiercely.
“Yep.”, I say. I’m slightly scared now.
Derek nods at Isaac and Scott and before I know it all three of them have fangs, and hair all along their faces. Their noses have morphed into a more animalistic shape and their eyes glow. Scott’s red, Isaac’s yellow and Derek’s blue.
I stumble back and Stiles rushes over to me in case I fall, or faint.
“WHAT THE FUCK.”, I say loudly. I run out of the room and Stiles comes after me. He gives me a minute to calm down before simply saying,
“Werewolves.”
