Chapter 18:
*February 14th 2011 is on a Monday, but to make it work in the story I’ve put it on a Friday :0) *
At the end of January all the agreements for our engagement party were done and unfortunately that meant I had the time to worry about my fiancé.
I’ve opened my own daycare, which ran successfully. Although Bernie was sad to see me go, he was also very proud I had my own business. Hayley came with me and became the manager. Today I decided to go in and check the books.
“Good morning Ng, happy to see you”. She smiled at me.
“Good morning Hay’s, I’m glad I’m here, can I check the books”? I asked her and she nodded.
I greeted the girls and went to my office.
“Missing your man”? Hayley asked while standing in the doorway.
“Yes, but I’m also scared Hay’s … what if…”
“The plane won’t crash Ng and Shemar knows to drive more carefully, he’ll be home before you know it”. She said, coming over and hugging me.
Hayley was right, the next days flew by and soon it was Thursday February 13th.
I was unloading my car, with the groceries for the daycare, and cursed when I hit my foot, while trying to open the backdoor.
“Need some help”? I heard, dropped the box with wet tissues in surprise and turned around.
“Shemar”! I yelled happily.
Shemar had caught the box, but dropped it, when I threw my arms around his neck.
“Guess you missed me”. He smiled hugging me back before kissing me.
