The two night furies flew high above the nest. The wind rushing past them as the flew gracefully among the clouds. They looked at each other and smiled before going ascending to the clouds. As they flew, they carved a shape in the clouds. As they finished it, the clouds had the shape of a boy raising his hand, his head turned with a night fury leaning into the hand.
They stopped flying, free falling, enjoying the rush it gave them. When they could see the ocean below they extend their wings, allowing them to ascend at a rapid pace.
Hiccup was exhilarated. The feeling of flying with amazing. He felt free, liberated of all worries and thoughts which blew away with the wind. This is where he truly belonged. At the nest and in the sky. The prince of dragons had finally realized that this is what his life had missing in it. This feeling of freedom. He looked next to him and saw toothless grinning at him.
Toothless knew the moment he saw Hiccup's expression that he knew he made the right choice to take him away. Hiccup was meant to be in the sky. Toothless himself had never thought about it before, but now with hiccup, he feels a sense of joy that came from flying with his brother.
The two night furies ascended above the clouds to see what we today call the aurora borealis. The colorful ribbons of light dancing above the dragons.
And with this realization, the Prince knew he was truly home.
