Danny p.o.v – 15th July 2015-

"Vardan it's nice to see you again," Jorel says, we are at the chapel today. Today is the meeting where we outline the plan we have to the other covens and the council. I hope they approve it since it is the only plan we have. The other covens are only here to offer support if needed and see what they might be able to do to help us. "Nice to see you too, glad to see Danny back on his feet and healthier than when I saw him last. Sorry about Matthew," he replies, giving us all a hug in turn. His life was spared in return for his help and he has been pardoned because he saved me. That means he is in the loop of the Cambion news and found out about Matthew's death late last year. "Thank you Vardan, you didn't have to do this you know," I say, quietly because some of the other covens were slightly judgmental.

"Nonsense Danny, I have been desperate to support the better cause since the start. I want to redeem myself after everything that has happened while I was in the nine lives coven," Vardan replies. We knew that he was guilty about what happened, and we are working on building his confidence back and give him a good reputation as he starts his own coven. He takes in vulnerable Cambions and trains them to make sure they don't go down the wrong path. Aron is going to become a great example to those thinking of being like him and how it is going to end up badly for them. This last year has been a rollercoaster for sure. At least the end is in sight, the plan should work and then it's only a matter of time before we can carry out the plan.

"Right lets get this meeting going. First off please give Vardan respect as without him we would not have Daniel or Jorel standing here," Hayden says. He is the leader of all of us and we would be very stupid to ignore his request. Any beefs with Vardan can be sorted at a later date. If we were here to sort out all the California covens issues with Nine Lives then we would be here for at least 10 years. I don't know how many people would have issues with Vardan specifically because he has always tried to be the neutral one and the one who causes the least amount of arguments within Nine Lives. He did save my life and I don't think he did it for selfish reasons. I can barely remember what happened back then.

I was so ill, I couldn't use my siren powers let alone the elemental ones to help me out of the mess I admit that I had gotten myself into. Jordon asked me why I didn't use the fire part to melt the shackles I had, then I had to remind him of the state that I was in by the time Aron got his filthy hands on me. Jorel still feels guilty inside, like I do over Matthew's death. It's just that small amount of guilt we will carry for the rest of our lives. "Hayden is right, actually Vardan hasn't done anything to any of us apart from save the young man's life. It's Aron, Gadjet and Yumma who are the ones who need punishing for what has happened," Frank says, he's now leader of the Loveless coven. They've had some issues over the years too.

"Indeed. We cannot forget the crimes of Gadjet and Yumma," the leader of the Pancakes coven says. Out of respect for us, they didn't mention that Gadjet's major crime was killing Matt. It does still haunt me a little, not as bad as when it first happened and before Elijah helped me with the night terrors that it brought. Jorel put his hand on my shoulder and rubbed it. The whole thing is still a raw and sore subject for me. I don't even think it's been one year since I lost my leg. "Are you okay Daniel? you don't have to sit through the entire meeting if it is too much for you," Hayden asks. This is the first time I have been able to fulfil my role as deputy leader/second in command for the Undead coven. I've had a lot of recovery time from my leg injury and the whole kidnapping and then the whole thing between Gadjet and Matt.
