The sun was still high in the sky by the time they got to the Airclan border, "I cannot come with you from here on, good luck on talking to Windstar," and with that, Gladetail was gone.
"Should we wait for a patrol?" Redheart asked, her ears twitching nervously.
"I think we should go to their camp, it'll be too late to visit Darkclan if we wait for one," Magicclaw reasoned, it was a big risk yes, but it was one Magicclaw was willing to take. Setting out at a trot, Magicclaw lead the way through the moor grass, careful not to fall into the gorge that was on her other side, but wanting to get to the Airclan camp before sun down. Afterwhile, they ran into a patrol, Spiritfur was there. Magicclaw's heart skipped a beat in excitement, her sister would help her.
No, Magicclaw thought, she would put her clan first, even before her kin. Spiritfur kept her expression guarded but Magicclaw could tell that she knew why she was here. The meeting! Her sister seemed to be saying when she looked at Magicclaw.
She dipped her head, "Greetings, Magicclaw, why are you here on Airclan land?"
Magicclaw dipped her head in turn. "I have come with a message for Windstar, may you take us to your camp?" Spottedheart and Redheart both dipped their heads. Spiritfur's eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
"Can we trust them?" A orange-and-white tom came to stand beside Spiritfur, pressing his side against hers. Magicclaw realized that he must be very close to her sister.
Spiritfur hesitated, then mewed calmly. "You don't look like a battle patrol, and Iceclan must have given you permission to cross their border." She paused, meeting Magicclaw's gazed she mewed. "Yes, we'll take you to our camp."
The sun started to set as Magicclaw and the medicine cats were escorted into the Airclan camp.
"Gorseleaf, go to Windstar and tell him we have visitors." The orange-and-white tom sped off in the direction of a rock that was big enough to hold a den on one side and he disappeared from view.
Spiritfur sat next to her and whispered. "Firestar sent you with the message about the meeting, right?" She mewed hopefully. Magicclaw nodded.
"Lets hope Windstar will agree, the truth must come out here and now. There has been to much bloodshed." Greif clouded her gaze. "I can't believe our father might be apart of this..."
Before Spiritfur replied, Windstar and Gorseleaf came up to them.
"What's this all about, Magicclaw?" Windstar asked as he came up to them, his head and tail raised high. Magicclaw dipped her head to him.
"I have come with a message from Firestar." She repeated the same message she told Riverstar.
Windstar narrowed his eyes for a moment, "we'll come." Spiritfur stepped forward bravely.
"I'd like to be the one to go to the meeting." She told him, Windstar must have noticed how similar she and Magicclaw looked, although Spiritfur was a white tabby with light-gray markings and Magicclaw was a very very light gray cat with a single white paw, and black ears, but what they had in common was that they both had icy blue eyes. Magicclaw blinked, another thing that they didn't have in common was that she had a scar on her eye from her first battle at SunningStones when she was only an apprentice, Spiritfur didn't have that but she did have a scar parting her shoulder fur.
"Very well." Windstar mewed after a few heartbeats, "you may come, Spiritfur-" turning to the Fireclan cats he added "-and we will meet you and the other clans tomorrow at Fourrocks, Spiritfur and Gorseleaf will escort you to the Darkclan border."
