ch.23

Tony POV

"there going to kill us" i couldn't help but mumbled to Bruce for probably the 100th time as we all sat down eating pancakes. Bruce elbowed me in the side trying to get me to calm down and act like I'm not hiding anything, Maria was already suspicious.

"Everyone once your done where going shopping" Maria announced as she got up and left the room leaving 2 other agents to watch us.

"Just play cool" Bruce whispered as he took a deep breath then let it out and repeated.

"....are you going to hulk out?" I asked as I moved away from Bruce slightly not wanting to be near the guy if he was going to put the smack down on me.

"I don't know, Agent Hill is already running test to  see if I will hulk out and if Steve still has the serum in his body, but judging from his phyical form right now the serum is probably dormant in his body, which means i probably shouldn't be able to hulk out" Bruce explained which made Tony frown he tried to calm himself down.

"Were not hungry anymore" Tony said as he quickly got down from his chair and pulled Bruce down along with him.

"Are you sure? You both barely ate?" Maria asked with a worried expression as she glanced at the pancakes.

"Yes" Tony said quickly as he grabbed Bruce's hand and pulled him towards the elevator.

"We need to figure out what went wrong with our experiment....we need a sample of that gas" Bruce said once the elevator doors closed as he ran a hand threw his hair and bit his bottom lip.

"How are we going to get all that ? I'm not even sure where exactly we are...wait!" I said as my eye started to widen which made me quickly hit Bruce's arm. "We need to get our blood samples, what ever we were exposed to must still be in our blood" I said with excitement in my voice as I blocked out the part of my brain that was blaming me for the whole incident.

"That could work... but what if they don't have our blood samples here?" Bruce said as I let out an involuntary sigh which made my hit my forehead against my palm.

" stop being a downer and just follow me" I said as the elevator came to a stop on the floor with the lab which made me grab onto Bruce's hand and half drag him out of the elevator.
