"Is he asleep yet?"
"Yes, so shush." Patrick motioned at the group at the door to come in.
Bump!
Patrick turned towards Boyang with a vehement "SHUUSHHHH!"
"Tuba too big." Boyang pouted as he set his Tuba down on the floor, swinging his arms around in relief.
"Where do I put this?" Evgenia lifted the bongo drums into the flat.
"Stop stepping on me!" Sota complained from his position on the floor.
"Maybe you shouldn't lie down in the middle of the living room where everyone's bound to step on you at least once." Gabrielle replied sensibly, fingers tapping on the recorder as if she was taking multiple photos.
"Put it near the back." Patrick was having trouble dragging the glockenspiel in.
"Wait, where is the boombox again?" Yanhan looked around the room for a speaker to plug his microphone into.
"We don't need a speaker! Not everyone in the hostel wants to listen to your voice!" Vincent spoke up, still sour over the instrument he was forced to play.
"Don't point the weight towards me to cue me in, I don't want any chances of you letting go of it while conducting!" Yuna warned Mao.
"Wait, Shoma, where's your bow?" Yuzuru fretted. "And do you need a shoulder rest? The violin doesn't look very comfortable on you."
"My bow's in my violin case. And don't worry about me, the violin is fine." Shoma replied.
"Can we post this online? 'Surprise concert for our friend' has a nice ring to it. " Alex begged Shoma.
"I guess it should be ok..."Shoma answered doubtfully.
"Just don't get my face in it!" Satako piped up.
"We won't." Maia promised, setting up the tripod such that the focus was on the front row.
"You broke the F key? Of all keys?" Pengcheng fussed over the slightly cracked xylophone, glaring at Yangjin.
"It was the mallot's fault, honest!" Yangjin pointed to the mallot encased in tape, which he accidently snapped in the process of practicing the xylophone.
Pengcheng shook her head at Yangjin's imbecile excuse.
Nam gave Javier a look, who in turn glanced sheepishly at his maracas, which was plastered with a mess of superglue and cracks, the aftermath of Javier venting his frustration on the poor instrument when he threw it to the ground in frustration. Since Boyang could only offer a poor substitute of unopened cup noodles, Javier had to superglue the broken maracas and hope for the best.
"Guys, let's get into position and start warming up." Shoma finally took control of the situation.

Jingle jingle.
Ding ding.
Chika chika
Nathan bolted upright in his bunk, wide awake and shivering. Even his failure could follow him into his sleep. The noises were quite evident in contrast to the silence of the room when Patrick wasn't around.
Deciding to get a drink, seeing that he had woken up still with noises in his head and his throat a little dry, Nathan stood up. He shuffled into the kitchen blearily, past the living room, yanking the fridge door open and taking a bottle of cold water out of it.
