"You look happier."
The younger boy lifted his head to catch Yuzurus gaze.
Was it just him, or did he seem genuinely surprised that Yuzuru had noticed that?
"I do?" Shoma questioned, dropping his gaze and focusing on the floor underneath his feet. His brows furrow as he unconsciously tugs his sling bag closer to himself.
"You do." Yuzuru hoped he looked sincere enough to persuade Shoma.
There was a silence.
"I mean," He continued, "You used to be quiet. Very quiet."
Shoma skeptically raised an eyebrow, "I used to?"
"You still are! Of course," The hurried assurance was not very comforting, but Shoma accepted it. "It's just, back then you used to be very quiet, and you... looked wary? Like you were always on the edge of your seat, jumpy, suspicious of everything." A soft smile rearranged itself on Yuzuru's features, "But now, you speak up more. Like, when Nathan was sad about his orchestra, you led us to cheer him up. You also look more comfortable with helping out others and even engaging in conversation with people outside your comfort zone!"
"Actually, I sort of commanded you guys to help. Sorry about that." Shoma didn't know what words would be appropriate to say, settling with letting the silence ease in and carry on the conversation instead.

"Hey, someone's in the class," Yuzuru nudged Shoma, who, in turn, looked up.
The class, three levels down from the top, and second window from the left had the unmistakable white fluorescent light of the classroom streaming out of it.
"Someone is here earlier than us?" Shoma was surprised. It was six o'clock in the morning, and the sun had just started to rise. Young adults, especially nearing exam period spent hours late into the night studying and were sleeping at this time.
Yuzuru had gotten up early to complete his homework and somehow convinced Shoma to come along to the school so early in the morning as to accompany him.
"Who could it be?" Yuzuru wondered aloud, voicing both his and Shoma's thoughts as they marched up the many flights of stairs.
The classroom door swung open, the bright light of the classroom hitting Shoma's eyes.
"Patrick? Yuna?"
The two mentioned sitting at the desks looked up at the two boys entering the class. "Hello Shoma, Hello Yuzuru." Yuna greeted. "What brings you here so early?"
"Homework." Yuzuru sat down at his desk, too polite to ask Patrick and Yuna the same question.
They soon found out, though.

"Ahhhh!" Patrick clutched Yuna's shoulder, eyes fixed on Yuna's phone, which she propped up on the desk. "How does she not see Shin Hyuk? How could she not see him!"
Yuna awkwardly brushed Patrick's hand off her shoulder. "It's part of the plot." She explained.
"That's so depressing! Nooooo! Mi Jin, you infidel, How could you?" Patrick grips the desk, shaking it violently.
As soon as he let out the loud cry, the two Japanese students jumped a little in their seats.
Yuna pitied both of them. She herself was ongoing the same torment, and, it was right beside her ear too, so her situation was much more pitiful than theirs.
