Living in Hell (Alicia Clark x OC)

Chp.7 Suspicion

~Rin~
The wind blew through her raven hair. Alicia head was buried in her neck as her arms were wrapped around her stomach. She felt her tears hitting her right side of her neck and collar bone. Her right arm was wrapped around Alicia's body. She looked forward towards at the pilot and the man that was in front of her. She grab the headset with her left hand and put it on without moving to much.

"Where are you taking us?" She spoke into the mic.

The man in front of her looked at her sternly before he spoke into the mic.

"We were order to head to the ranch. Don't worry, it's safe there."

She just glared and didn't say anything to him as she held Alicia close to her. She felt the helicopter jolt abruptly and soon she felt the helicopter going down. She grip tight around Alicia as she brace herself for the crash. The helicopter hit the desert ground and tip to the right side of it. They jerked around in their seats until they came to a stop. Rin immediately looked at Alicia's condition. She was fine just out of it, but she check for any sign of injury anyway. She looked over at the other people. The two people who controled the helicopter were dead but the guy in front of them was still alive. Rin place her right foot on the floor to brace herself before unbuckling herself from the seat and quickly unbuckled Alicia. But she had to brace her so she wouldn't just fall. She got her to her feet and place her hands on her cheeks.

"Alicia, pull it together. We need to get out of here before the infected comes. But first we need to get this guy out of here because we need him to lead us to this ranch. Alicia. Hey look at me." She made her look at her in the eyes. "Do you understand?" Alicia nods her head.

Rin nods back before letting go of her face. She turned towards the army guy and got him out of his seat, knowing that they'll need him to lead to this ranch he was talking about. She drag him out of his seat. Alicia had already crawled out of the helicopter and was on its side. Rin was able to keep the guy standing long enough for Alicia to grab his bulletproof vest and was able to pull him up as Rin pushed. Alicia got him up and laid put him on the surface of the helicopter. Alicia kneeled down and put out her right hand for Rin to grab. Rin grabs her hand and Alicia was able to pull her up. Rin stood besides Alicia and they glance at each other before looking at the guy. Rin kneeled besides him and grab the collar of his vest to pull him up. Once she pulled him up to a sitting position, she punched him pretty hard which made him open his eyes. He moaned as he rubs his face. Rin let go of his vest and stood straight up.

"Get up." She growls at the man as she hears the moans of the infected coming. "We need to move." She grabs the guy and pulled him up before shoving him forward to walk. "Lead the way."

He stumbled forward but he caught himself before he could fall to the ground. He mumble curse words at her underneath his breath but she just chose to ignore it. They walked for a good hour or so before the guy stopped and turn around towards them.

"We should fine a place to rest and continue in the morning." He said.

Rin glared at him as she thought for a moment. She knew that if they stop then they might be surrounded. She looked over at Alicia to see that she's exhausted. She doesn't blame her. The girl just lost someone close to her and that she'll have to bear the bad news to her mom. She looked back at the man and sighed.

"Fine, but I'll take first watch." She said as she gathered wood and leafs to start a fire.

Rin pile the wood and leafs in a pile on the ground. She pulled a lighter out of her back pocket and started the fire after a few attempts. Alicia sat in silence as she watched Rin start the fire. The guy was on the other side of the fire but was off to the side on her right a little. Rin walked towards her and sat on Alicias right. But she took her katana off of her back before doing so. Rin cross her left leg as she place her right foot in front of her left ankle, so her right knee was almost touching her right shoulder. The end of her katana was in between her legs as the handle was against her right shoulder. Everyone stared at the fire but soon, Alicia laid her head on Rins left thigh. The soldier just stared at them. She didn't take her sight off of him either. But soon enough, the soldier closed his eyes as the fire burn.
