THREE WEEKS LATER
You walk back to your aunt's house, the walk back there was quiet, dead silent. It was night and it was cold. You just came from a bar where your parents are at, you told them you'll be heading back to your grandparents' house ahead of them. Your grandparents let the three of you to stay in their place for you to stay for the month or so. It was kind of them, but you should've come with someone for company, or maybe call a cab, but the road was empty, just lampposts lighting the empty road. You hugged your coat tighter around you, hearing your heels click on the dark pavements of Manhattan. You had this weird feeling crawl up your body, like someone was following you.
Don't turn around, don't turn around.
You then heard faint footsteps behind you. You took quick and long steps to quickly go back to your grandparents' house. But it was no use, they were following you. You knew this was your end, but you fought for your life. You turned to a curb, but it was a dead end.
Great! JUST GREAT!
You turned around to see a shape of a man standing a few feet away from you. You took your heels off, readying your stances to fight em off. You quickly charged to the man, hitting him square on the jaw. You then kick him in the shin, knocking him out cold with a punch on the face. You panted. As you turned around to get your heels, you felt two strong arms wrapped around your body, covering your mouth with a hanky. You hit him on the face with the back of your head, but it was too late, you already breathed in the chloroform before the hanky fell off your face. And all you see was darkness.
Fluttering your eyes open, all you see is a dim light above you. You moved your hands but you wouldn't budge, you were strapped down to a gurney. You looked around to see a man working with liquids. You groaned from the pain building up in your head. The pain was throbbing unbearably. "Oh you're awake. I'm Arnim Zola. And I'm assuming your Y/N Y/L/N." He ranted, with a Russian accent lacing through his voice. "W-Where am I? And how do you know me?" You strained, your throat dry. "In HYDRA HQ, in Germany." He said, walking to you. "We had been watching your every move Y/N, you're a perfect lab rat for us to experiment this Super soldier serum." You started to panic.
Are your parents okay? What about your family? Have they hurt them? Hopefully not. "Please, let me go." You cried. "I'm sorry but I can't do that." He sighed, an evil smile etched on his lips. "W-Why? I have a life out there and you can't just experiment me without my consent!" You yelled. "Y/N, you're special, you trained combat and with enhanced intelligence. You are bizarre. I saw you fought those five men in the alleyway back then. But all I'm saying is, you have it all, brawn and brains." He ranted again. He took a syringe and took an injection full of violet liquid—he said a Super soldier serum. He injected the injection in your veins. This foreign thing flowed in your blood cells up to your heart. If this is going to be your end, you should have spent more time with Bucky and Steve when you had the chance, you weren't ready to die on them. Not today.
Your heart started to pace quickly as your eyes widen, your body started trembling and you were sweating. As the liquid reached your heart, your vitals calmed down. "It worked." He said, unbelievable that it literally worked. So you lived, and what are you going to do now? "Now can you set me free?" You asked, panting. "No, I'm going to tell this to my master." He said excitedly as he ran out the room. You sighed in annoyance.
Shooting your eyes open, the place around you was dark, petal roses cascading down to the ground with all the other sea of petal roses. It was beautiful, yet lonely. You could only hear the swaying of the leaves on the tree, even though there weren't trees around you. In the distance, you could see a figure of a man. He walked towards you and caressed your cheek with his left hand. It was Bucky. Why is he here? And what is he doing? His looks then changed as his hair grew, having facial hair as well. He looks different from the Bucky you know, but he still looks handsome. And he has this blank expression plastered on his face. His left hand felt cold, you glanced down to see his arm that is no longer flesh but metal.
Shooting your eyes open from the dream, or nightmare, your breathing started to go uneven. The room was still empty and cold, no sign of Zola coming back. After minutes of waiting, you heard the door opening, you then saw a man wearing tactical gear, with a brunette goatee going on his face. "Hello?" He called. "Help! Please help me!" You called. He quickly run towards you. "I'm Sergeant Tim Greenwood, ma'am. How did you get here?" He asked as he started to remove the strap on you. "I was kidnapped and was experimented." You said. "Wait, you're in the 107th?" You questioned, seeing the uniform the same as Bucky's. He nodded. "You know Sergeant James Barnes?" You quickly asked. "I'm sorry ma'am, but we're too many to remember one's name." He explained, finally taking off the last strap. As you planted your feet on the ground, you fell limp on him. "Woah be careful." He exclaimed as he held your arms, trying to avoid to touch your waist, because it is rude to touch a woman's body without their permission. "I'll bring you to the truck, so that it'll bring you back to camp." He explained. "Thank you, Tim." You smiled. "Just doing my duties ma'am." He saluted before he lead the way out of the building. Luckily the two of you weren't seen, and thank God you got out of the building with Tim safely. "Bring her back to camp." Tim told the driver of the truck with all of the other injured men in the war. "Thank you again, Tim." You said before he closed the doors of the truck.
The ride back to camp was awkward, being inside a truck filled with men that smells like blood, sweat and dirt had you woozy. The truck stopped as the door of the back of the truck opened. Men had helped you down as they lead you to the tents where they'll clean you up. But you seem to be fine, you were clean; your dress was just wrinkled and your feet with black stockings had picked up dirts and other dirty components. As you sat on the gurney, a woman had approached you, wearing a green uniform with a pencil skirt. "How can a woman had gotten there to the war?" She exclaimed in her British accent. "I was kidnapped." You answered back. "By who?" She asked. "I don't know, something about HYDRA." You ranted. Your vision started to go blurry as your head started to go hazy. "Where's Sergeant Barne..." Then blackness consumed your vision as you fainted on the gurney.
Waking up, you felt your head throb in the most painful way it could. You sat up to see men starring at you. "What the hell are you all looking at?" You exclaimed. They turned their heads away in embarrassment. You groaned as the pain kept on going in your head, the pounding—a never ending hit in the head. You then heard yells of cheer occurring outside the tents. You attempted to stand on your feet, trying to see the commotion outside. As you held on your gurney for support, you stood straight as you slowly walked out the tent, your back a bit hunched over. Your body was weak, the liquid had some effect on you, but you pushed those aside as you still continued your way outside.
As you took a foot out on the damp dirt, you saw a large crowd of soldiers back from the war. They circled around someone as they cheered. You shove through them as you wanted to see who it was. You came to a small clearing, and there you saw them.
"Steve? Bucky?" Your words came like a whisper, the verge of crying again felt like a routine for you.
Steve wasn't the thin Steve you had known when you're with him. He was buff and strong now, he was different from the thin Steve you see everyday. And Bucky, well still the same, just dirty from the war. "Excuse me." You heard from Steve as he turned away to the person he was talking to. The two turned around, a smile both etched on their handsome faces. "Y/N." They said in unison as they both hugged you. The both of them were strong, and you couldn't help wheeze as they crushed the life out of you. "Oh...my...gosh...I...can't...breathe..." You said breathless. They both pulled away as they looked at you. "I told you two: 'Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone.' But what the hell did you two do? As much for you Steve, look at you! You're all buff and strong now." You ranted. Steve chuckled and so as Bucky. "Dr. Erskine chose me to get experimented by his new serum so I can join the war to save people." Steve explained. You sighed a chuckle. "You two are literally stupid for gosh sake. Now I won't be kicking ass just to protect you." You said to Steve. "WE, are going to kick asses for you now." Bucky placed his arms across Steve's shoulder as he shook him. You rolled your eyes. "I still am better than you two." You said cockily. "Yeah, yeah whatever." Bucky chuckled. It was ecstatic to see your two boys after what felt like a decade even though it was just three weeks. "I missed you two." You sighed a smile. "Yeah, we missed our idiot as well." Bucky sighed. You rolled your eyes. "Jerk." You said lowly. "Idiot."
"Punk."
"Idiot."
