"A party? Again?"

I could smell him walk near me. "Oh c'mon, Bean. It's just at the next subdivision. It won't take long."

Judging from the state I'm currently in, face down on a bed with scattered pillows, I'm pretty damn sure what my response is. "I'm not going."

He flopped down beside me on the bed. "But I don't wanna go there alone." He poked my cheek over and over.

And I stared at him. "You won't be alone." It's been a while since I've actually admired his face. "Someone's bound to be there, you know."

"I don't want our random friends," He suddenly pounced at me, laying on top of me and hugging me. "I want you. Only you."

I chuckled. "Why are you so clingy today? It's not like I was away for months or something."

"I just missed you, that's all."

I rolled my eyes at him. As if that excuse is gonna work again. "Uh huh. Like how you missed me when I was on a mission in Spain."

"Babe, that's Spain! I know how much you love Spanish culture! There might be some man there waiting to swipe you off your feet with some fancy looking Spanish words." He all but shouted at me. "I couldn't risk it. Plus, you were gone for forever! I missed you!"

"I was gone for eighteen hours, numskull. And I like Spain's culture, not their men." Although I have to admit, they're pretty gorgeous.

And then it was silent for a few minutes. It was just him laying on top of me. And me trying to breath, which was pretty hard.

"What were we talking about again?" He whispered into my ear.

"Party."

"Will you come?"

"No."

"Why?"

"I don't want to."

"I'll marry you if you come with me."

"No, thank you."

"How 'bout a dozen packs of Milky Way?"

"You know I'm lactose intolerant, right?"

"Yes..?"

"Get me some clothes and make it two dozens."

=|=|=

He left me.

Damn it, Emman. I thought you were better than this.

The very moment we walked in, people started going towards him. And of course, the bastard just had to entertain the girls who clung to him like their lives depended on it.

What time is it, anyways?

A couple of hours until twelve.

Fuck it. I'm getting gin and tonic.

As I cluelessly walk to find where the alcohol is, I find that this old piece of shit isn't too shabby. There's a pool and... well there's a pool.

Ugh, where is that idiot?

"Beanie!"

And then suddenly, someone wraps their arms around me. Arms that are flimsy as hell.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her.

She puts her chin on my shoulder. "Well it's not like I can't go here. It's a house party."

"And you're studying to be a doctor."
