Y/N's POV
Jimin placed his finger on the push button and rang the doorbell. It produced a deafening sound that made Jimin flinch. It was like those old-school door bells that weren't subtle at all.
We waited for a few seconds and then I noticed that someone looked through the peep hole. When they made sure that we weren't a threat, we heard the door unlock.
Behind the now open door, there was an old lady. She was about 70 years old. She had long grey hair, a wrinkled face and was wearing black elderly clothes.
??: Who are you?
Her voice seemed weak, shaky and tired and her eyes were puffy and red.
Y/N: I'm sorry to bother you b..
I forgot that no one can hear or see me. I would have laughed at myself if I wasn't so damn irritated by my current situation.
Jimin: I'm sorry to bother you ma'am. I want to talk to you about your husband.
Her eyes closed to prevent tears from falling.
??: What is your name young man?
She said while observing Jimin from head to toe.
Jimin: My name is Park Jimin and I was... am a friend of Y/N.
She turned her back on him and walked inside her house.
??: Leave your shoes at the doorstep please.
Jimin followed her inside after taking off his shoes and leaving them by the doorstep.
He followed the old lady all the way to the kitchen.
She pointed him to sit down so he pulled out a chair and sat.
??: My name is Jisoo. Can I offer you something? Coffee? Juice? Tea? Water?
Jimin: I would love some Tea, thank you.
She filled the kettle with water, placed it on the stove and let it boil.
I was nervous because I was about to find out the truth about my accident.
Jisoo: I'm so sorry for your friend Jimin. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what my husband caused.
She was sitting across of Jimin. She had her hands on the kitchen table and and her eyes were staring on her time-blemished hands.
Jimin reached his hand forward and placed it on top of hers.
Jimin: It's not your fault and if Y/N was here, I'm sure she wouldn't hold a grudge.
She smiled at me while a single teardrop run down her wrinkled cheek.
Jisoo: You know, my husband wasn't a bad man. He had been through a lot but he couldn't cope with it and that is what led him to his death. He was always so stubborn.
Her reminiscing caused more tears to fall.
After a pause to get a hold of herself, she continued as Jimin payed close attention to every single word coming out of her mouth.
Jisoo: Everything started a couple of months ago. My husband was diagnosed with brain cancer and it took a toll on him because he always lived his life care-free. He was hesitant to tell our daughter because she just had a child. He didn't want her to waste the time she had to raise her child, on helping him.
She stopped again and wiped her tears.
Jisoo: After some tests, the doctors told him that he wasn't going to make it. They gave him only one year to live. So that is when he decided to break the devastating news to our daughter.
