I'm going to be writing about what could have happened to make various story-lines interesting. You might know some of the dramas/songs/books I will mention so continue reading.
ONCE A PART IS WRITTEN, IT IS PUBLISHED. THIS MEANS THAT I DON'T ANNUAL...
I've read a lot of Wattpad books which are cliché. So these books tend to follow this structure:
1) A bad boy who softens when he's around the main girl
2) The bad boy's friends: The dumb player The introvert The caring extrovert The fun one who likes the main girl too
3) The main girl (who's usually a savage goodie two shoes)
4) The main girl's friends: The straight-forward one (who usually falls for the introvert) The pretty yet oblivious one (who falls for the caring extrovert) The good advisor (who's usually the closest to the main girl)
5) The fun boy, who likes the main girl, never ends up with her (WHICH ALWAYS PISSES ME OFF)
I MEAN WHY DOES HE NOT END UP WITH THE MAIN GIRL? I GET THAT THE MAIN GUY LIKES THE MAIN GIRL TOO BUT THE OTHER GUY IS USUALLY FUNNIER AND SWEETER!
THE ONLY TIME THE MAIN GUY IS FUNNY IS: A) WHEN HE QUICKLY DELIVERS A COMEBACK TO SOMETHING WITTY HIS (DUMB PLAYER) FRIEND SAID B) WHEN HE FLIRTS WITH THE MAIN GIRL WHEN THEY'RE ALONE BY SAYING ODD PICK-UP LINES LIKE: "If I had to rate you from 1-10 I would rate you as a 9 because I am the one that you are missing."
Another thing I don't understand is: The main girl is a goody two shoes So: A) Why does she bunk school to be with the main guy? B) Why does she suddenly not mind not having time to study? C) She ends up going to parties since she's dragged by the her friends and the main guy's friends. She goes to A LOT of parties. How does she still manage to her flying grades coz in reality you gotta revise to get them! (In some books, the authors never mention if the main girl studied for upcoming tests and yet SHE GETS STRAIGHT As)!
But the main thing that upsets me is: THE MAIN GUY IS ALWAYS SUPERIOR! HIS GROUP OF BAD BOY FRIENDS ARE NEVER STRONGER, FASTER OR MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN HIM YET THEY STILL HAVE GIRLS WAITING TO DATE THEM! WHY IS THE MAIN GUY ALWAYS SAID TO BE THE BEST (EVEN IF HE IS A PLAYER)? IF HE IS WILLING TO PRIORITISE A GIRL (HE RECENTLY BECAME FAMILIAR WITH) OVER THE FRIENDS THAT HE'S HAD FOR A LONG TIME (SOMETIMES FOREVER), THEN WHY DO HIS FRIENDS STICK AROUND?
Another question I have: If there's a friend who also likes the main girl, the other friends (for some reason) find it okay to always be around the main guy. Why do they abandon their lonely friend? Why does the lonely friend have to seem pathetic because of his crush (the main girl, duh)?
I just realised. I said question but I've actually been asking A LOT of question(s).
Plus, the main guy thinks it's absolutely fine to interrupt the scenes where the main girl and the friend, who likes the main girl, are having a conversation. THEY'RE ONLY TOGETHER FOR LIKE THREE PARAGRAPHS IN THE WHOLE BOOK AND HE HAS TO RUIN THAT!!!
The bad boy thinks it's absolutely fine to just kiss the main girl and text "I'm sorry" when he messes up. AND IT WORKS. SHE FORGIVES HIM BECAUSE OF "THE BUTTERFLIES IN HER STOMACH!"

OR SHE EXPECTS HIM TO CREATE A ROMANTIC SCENE OUTSIDE HER HOUSE IN THE RAIN! Then... She'll forgive him. But if her friend hid a secret from her... SHE'LL BE FREAKING SATAN!
